i wish i could say i am feeling sad sania lost , but no one gives a rats a*s for doubles anyways
she should be concentrating on singles , where she is always loosing as usual with that heavy strapping on her legs becoming a permanent figure of her impressive fitness regime ,its not her fault that she is born in india , had she been playing and practicing in the USA she would have been a better sportswoman , we indians have brains and that too is gods gift , we havnt done peanuts for it , so we are actually used to being served stuff on a platter , talking about sports glory , "Today no muslim fundamentalist is ojecting on Sania wearing skirt. Why " such blogs show the extreme shallow mentality and senseless mindset of us indians who are still living in the stone age

take a leaf from navratilova
by umesh mi on Jan 27, 2008 05:14 PM  | Hide replies

Sania should learn from navratilova. she left her country and was initially overweight. Navratilova was never on the bed of roses but she fought back to turn out as greatest. However everything has been bit early in Sania's case. While laurels are still to come Sania has already reaped in the profits of publicity and money. Even, if i am not wrong, an Arjuna Award. Though above is not to disparage Sania. But with a point that with just 1 ATP singles title everything from money, publicity to attitude came to early for Sania.
She is a better judge wether she is on the way of being a kournikova of India or Navratilova of the world.

Mr Ramen Das, he has a point.... All of a sudden a lot of players are coming from Serbia and winning tournaments....!

And we are talking abt these glamour stars of India, being in the circuit for years not even reaching the Quarter...!!

Sania is going to end up like Kournikova..!!

the Indian government should give a passport to Ana Ivanovic, and send Sania to Serbia. Player swap. hahaha then we can enjoy the tennis.

Thats because of the way she projects herself, as a player she is good, so is she as a model, but the problem is sports is relegated to the background. Now some moron will come and abuse me for questioning Sania..

Swamy has a point... but the real culprit is Indian media... They screw the career of players... They shld wait for the "budding talents" to reach some position b4 they can catapult them into the role model/superstar status....

Most of these ppl have issues in handling fame... they get carried away and loose focus on the sport thats resp for them getting the name and fame and then they fade away...

When they luk back, they will be happy for the millions that they have made... and no regret that they did not contribute for their country!!
