True Champion
by Jomesh George on Jan 21, 2008 01:21 PM

Great players r different from true champions.True Champion is the one who can overcome any pressure situation.Look at Sachin. He is a great player. But most of the time he is succumbed to pressure.Roger proved that he's a true champion by overcoming a tough situation.

Who said Federer was going to rule, for ever.
In today's Tennis world, 26 has to be considered old. So, Federer is getting on with the age, and sooner and later someone has to takeover from him.
What is the great surprise element in your forecast??

Hey Singh(probably a stupid sardar),
whatever federer acheived so far is already beyond what anyone cud dream of ever acheiving... he has already made history.. so that's it.. all good things has to come to an end oneday and no one is exception...

probably he has to be replaced by Nadal for sometime and then djokovics etc.. and then they will be unseated from the top after 2 or 3 years by emerging players of the day..

does that mean federer is an ordinary.. No way..

It's not a bolloywood cinema actor that someone is giving him a run for money... Federer and Nadals have created their names in history books.. and they are not a subject matters for you to weigh so cheaply... they try to go a level up in history books and that doesn't come so easily.. but they are already good for what they have acheived already...

in deed a great champion, he plays his shots with ease and even when he wins in straight sets critcs say he had to struggle, which straight away says us the kind of wins he had in the past,,,, he is superb

He definitely has the best game. And i thik he is setting himself up for the tough matches. He is known to have done this before too. Beat the opponenet in his own game.
But again, the hunger among competitors is high. A small slip and others will manage to take a few slams. But dethroning his number one will be very difficult ...

Welll so.... Lets wait and watch....
Go Federer Go... You do rock!!

I agree that he will win the title this time. but the problem is that at the age of 27 only he is not mooving quickly, and he is so reluctant. and he needs to be worked hard unlike in the past.
