Hype Hype Hype...
by RajKumar SIngh on Jan 21, 2008 10:51 PM

The best part that I 'like' about Sania Mirza is that when she talks to the press about the 'billion Indian hopes'. I really find it amusing when I read that. I mean I really don't know as to how many Indians actually care about her. Sania Mirza's publicity manager are working over time to ensure that she remains in the news for whatever reason and Sania Mirza is carried away by that thinking she is the 'Darling of the Indian people'

by fukda media on Jan 22, 2008 01:00 AM
dude!! I agree . But there is no other poster child for the media in this space. Secondly, she has to plan for retirement as well i.e through ads and sponsorship. So the rating that you talk about is all media crap and nothing else

If she is not fit for this sport, then she should not be the No 31 in the whole world.....I think people like you have some basic problem that if you are not winner, then you are nothing.....Thousands of people are playing this sports and we should be proud of her being such a successful inspite of the critics like you and the government's don't carementality towards these sports....I think Sania should leave the country, then at least she could concentrate on her sports much more....

its not irony, its stupidity. Jim courier once said "only fools play doubles". Doubles are under-represented. None of the tennis greats ever concentrated on doubles.
Dont get me wrong lee and hesh were really great. but also dont forget that real greatness is in playing singles.
