I am among the lucky people who are getting to watch this spectacular tournament by being at the venues. Yesterday was a good beginning, although the ground had a little too much grass and the ball was stopping a bit. It was hard to control the ball. Ghana played the dominant role, expectedly, but were lucky not to be at the receiving end of a penalty against them when John Mensah tackled youli inside the box. Michael Essien showed why he is paid multi million pounds by Chelsea but Ghana did miss the services and calm of Stephen Appiah. Muntari's goal was a real cracker, but the Guinea defense did show very poor marking all throughout. Today is the big game of Ivory Coast vs Nigeria and I better start packing as it starts in about 3 hrs...
