Avoiding Politics
by Shilu Pahi on Feb 26, 2008 09:49 AM

Unfortunately, this is an Olympics year and the rebelling players should have avoided overstepping the limit. They could have discussed for sorting those problems and are to be prepared for Olymipics medals which India needs badly.

friends,
as a past tennis player who has played on the circuit , i guess you dont realise the politics that runs deep in the tennis adminstration. both leander and mahesh are guilty of taking many people for a ride. yes leander has been a great player and has won great laurels for the country and so too has mahesh. but their public mudslinging and their off court antics to attract attention especially Leander has not done them any favours. i m quite sure that this has been boiling over for a long time and this shows how badly Indian Tennis has been adminstrated. having interacted with the Federation i would also like to tellyou that you can expect absoultely nothing from the AITA and Mr. Khanna who are absolutely useless when it comes to adminstration.

Bickering
by sri on Feb 25, 2008 10:29 PM

We Indians love bickering. Just like on Rediff, tennis players can be expected to bicker, slander, fight, abuse, etc etc anytime their petty egos get bruised by real or perceived provocations. Everyone wants to be a leader in India, nobody wants to follow another.

The trouble is all created by Bhoopathi. The other three , who are yet to make a mark on the internation circuit, have fallen prey. Mr.Khanna, allow these four to take a walk in the park and let Paes build a new team. Afterall, even if these "greats" play, there is no chance of winning the davis cup.

I fully agree.Discipline is important.Anyway we will not go far in the Davis Cup with these 4 players .So it is better to sack all and start afresh.

Bhupathi is the master trouble maker. He has already made Sania skip the Bangalore open on some flimsy execuse

Get over the fight of who is better
by Satyajeet Prasad on Feb 25, 2008 06:27 PM

Why does this fight of Bhupathi Vs. Leander has to come up again and again? Even now, if they get together they can become world conqueror. We as fans, rather than pointing out, who is it fault should tell these 2 legends to join hand. This is for the country, for fans and for themselves. They can work wonder even after they are beyond their playing careers.

Hesh & Lee: Please Please get together. You guys have also to carry the responsibility to breed the next crop of tennis players from India.

by anil pinto on Feb 25, 2008 06:16 PM

This smell of dirty politics, and is really vendetta on the part of Mahesh Bhupathi, why has he to stoop so low, its really shameful how people let thier egos take the better of them. Leander the public at large know what's going on we are with you all the way.
