Sania is afraid
by Gururaj Shinde on Feb 05, 2008 03:31 PM

Sania knows very well that she will stand no-where before williams. And to avoid this embarassment on the home country, she is using the pretext of controversies that have spurted earlier. SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE SPORTIVE SPIRIT. TALKING LIKE A COWARD YOU HAVE BROUGHT A BIG DISGRACE TO INDIA. I THINK TENNIS IS NOT FOR YOU SANIA. BOLLYWOOD WILL GIVE A BRIGHT FUTURE TILL YOU ARE OLD LIKE REKHA, HEMA MALINI ETC..

Pulling out
by Gandhi on Feb 05, 2008 11:19 AM

She is the best Indian women tennis has produced. Its unfortunate that she has to pull out off a home tournament. Problem is that certain people look at her skirts and not her game. They feel that she is bringing disregard to community by playing as she is a girl. Put a thought into her position and feel how she must have been feeling to play at her very home country / town.

Sania is not playing in bangalore, she knows she stands no chance with the william sisters, and the others she could be out in the first round itself - THATS COWARD NOT SPORTSMAN SPIRIT, SHE KNOWS THAT EVERYONE WILL COME FOR THE WILLIAM SISTERS AND NOT FOR HER THATS WHY SHE BACKED OUT AFTER THE WILLIAM SISTERS CONFIRMED.

Hi man, she is not afraid to lose, and always tries her best. Problem is that certain people look at her skirts and not her game. They feel that she is bringing disregard to community by playing as she is a girl. Put a thought into her position and feel how she must have been feeling to play at her very home country / town.

Why is she worrying about comments from third class people and taking it to heart. As of now, no one is stopping her to play the Bangalore open. Dogs keep barking on Lion, but does the Lion care them ? Simply put, she is just afraid of defeat on home ground. IT IS VERY EVIDENT LOOKING AT THE WAY SHE SPOKE BEFORE CAMERA IN A NEWS CHANNEL. She says that it is her manager decision. Ridiculous that can't she take her own decision whether to play or not.

BENGALURU sounds absolutely horrible and no one uses that anyway, except for "certain" people who for some strange reasons.

What a joke! The Williams sisters have fallen so low in their tennis, compared to when they are at the height of their careers that now they want to come to Bangalore and win some cheap tournament.

Why? Do you think Bangalore is not good enough to host such classic events? The William sisters are still best in tennis.

hmm.. i wonder if u follow tennis at all.. if u dont please dont display ur ignorance on a public board. Both the Williams sisters are ranked in the top ten.. serena won aus open last year and venus is the defending wimbledon champion.. more than their rankings they are the most feared players in the world today and its going to be a privelege to have them here.. Also a tier-2 event is not a joke.. it carries enough points to make a significant change in the rankings and players would be stupid not to make the best use of it. I really hope i am able to catch at least a match or two when i am in bangalore in the first week of march
