Liverpool always play extremely defensive football....always playing the holding midfielder and never playing two at the top!!!
As a result their play is always boring with them relying only on counter attacks....that is precisely the reason they could not score a second goal against a 10man Arsenal. Even worse when you consider that the lynch pin of the arsenal side - Fabregas was not amongst the 10men on the field. Liverpool were hoping for Arsenal to commit men forward so that they can go on a counter attack!!! Silly strategy against 10men....
Infact the only time Liverpool show some attacking flair is when they are down by a goal or two - and it is not the entire team but their messiah - Gerrard whom they rely to bail themselves out!!!!
Arsenal are fantastic coz they dont have big names and still they give all the big big teams a hell of a time... They play pure- beautiful football, not defensive duds like Liverpool!!!
Liverpool will not win the title simply bcoz of this defensive mindset. With ManUtd away in Asia & Chelsea & Arsenal suffering from indifferent form, ideally they should have gotten a good lead at the top of the table but they havent gone for the kill....and they will live to regret it.

Yeah right, looks like u were watching hullcity v/s sunderland instead ... :P Liverpool were clearly dominating with 58% possession, Reina did not have a single save to make in the second half ... hows that defending with 10 men??

playing in your own half is hardly the same thing as dominating, Arsenal had a 55-45 territorial advantage over Liverpool, what were the scousers thinking, trying to score from their own half, eh...
