The shabby affair of Passport delay brought out how much other sports need to progress and overcome before any decent recognition by our national psyche happens. Saina goes about her job quietly, professionally. I wish her all the luck and I am sure her dedication will make her the next Indian sports pin up player. Go Saina Go. Cdr Ashvini
Saina is already India's greatest female badminton player..may be even India's greatest ever female sportsperson..we love her....way to go Saina...show them what a true sportsperson you are...no extra razzmattazz...no smart one liners..pure and simple dedication to your craft...show them that there are non cricketers who are world beaters (cricketers rejoice when they beat Bangladesh..poooffff !!!!)

Why does Mirza even need to be mentioned here? Apart from the close similarity of names and the usage of racquets, there is nothing in common between the two. Hope Saina can emulate Prakash Padukone and Pullela Gopichand and win the women's event in the All England championship for India.
Saina Indians have a lot of expectations from you kids who are NON-CRICKETERS but making international presence felt. You have already acheived something by an Indian girl which is unheard off nowdays in other sports at this young age.
In one sense its good that she doesnt get the media attention, but 10 years from now she would be known as one of india's alltime sporting greats and leave her legacy for next generation.
Indian sportman and Woman need respect and Recognition from our Indian Media. But it seems our media is Shameless and a Big Villain.Inspite of that people like VISHY ANAAND ,ABHINAV BHINDRA,VIJENDAR AKHIL KUMAR,Jeev SINGH AND NOW SAINA. The Media is keen only on Cricket, but in the time to come I am sure otehr sports will take over from Cricket.
