Its really a shame that only $10,000 as prize money. The games like tennis, golf, basketball, football are giving millions of dollors as prize, why it is so low for boxing, really shame.........

lts an amateur world championship. If it was a professional world championship, prize would be around million dollars in boxing.Professional boxers cannot participate in asian and olympics.
So many of Indian athletes shed blood and win. But our media only runs cricket right from print media to channels to internet. Indian public also seems to be just bothered about cricket which is almost a non athletic sport. I really media exposes sports like these and football, tennins, badminton... There is money to be made on these also...and oppurtunities are more than cricket.....
