Its a good logical move by Honda... As said, 300-400 engineers working for F1 can make a great contribution to the company... and these engineers are some of the best they would be having as they are working in F1 team...
The days of F1 are limited... Very soon it will be replaced by speed and endurance races of solar powered vehicles, fuel cell, biofuel, compressed air powered, automated vehicles... the list is long...
The F1 races seem idiotic to some extent... where tyres last for just 300 kms, fuel economy of just 1.3 km/lit, top speed of 330-360 km/hr... none of these are close to normal figures of 80000 km, 7-13 km/lit, 80-120 km/hr(speed limits) respectively...
stop wasting money on F1 and donate to the poor .. what is he getting out of F1 by the way ? - no Indian engine / car / team - no research n development - only free advertisement for kingfisher ??
