Safin's see-saw tour results continue...He looked like he didn't even care in the last set...think he'll never come close to reaching his old best level again...sigh!! so another Spanish player is through..gud luck tommy...
I think the current lot of players do lack consistency..they just come n go..no way comparable to the lights of pistol pete, steffi graf...only exceptions have been roger federer and off late Nadal to some extent...

The game is no longer power play now a days as the ball they are now using is far less speed and therefore they should have more alround play than just service and volley ( like sampras ) or just placement game (agassi) .Mind u Federer n now Nadal are far superior to the players of yesteryears.. so it willtake some time for others to catch up with them. Djokovic and others will try them out eventually . So don't blame players u can blame the ball for moving slowly.

A good player always overcomes the external factors...if the ball was fast, then it was the same for every player in that era..one has to be smart enough to use it in his/her favour..similarly if the ball is slower these days then the players have to lift their game to be consistent...the way federer n nadal are doing...dont blame the tennis balls for the inconsistency of new players buddy..

what do you mean by sqying off late Nadal to some extent> Nadal has been consistent for some years now. Only he can challenge the likes of Federer and he has proven it beyond doubt.
We miss you there was none to beat u here are u are The Federer in women singles. I really miss you playing here. You were the last known number 1 in the arena,
i dont know if its the lack of consistency or just too many good players in the top 10...they win a grand slam and next thing you know is that they're thrown out the 1st round in the next slam...there's 6 players in contention for the top spot at the end of the US Open...what a stat...unbelievable...
