China showed to the wider World their capacities to organize a major event. The Chinese also made sure they pocketed bulk of the medals. Congratulations to the Chinese athletes and to their Oly Games Organizers.

No doubt, India has a long way to go. I think nothing in this world can compare to the feeling of standing on the podium for a gold medle and listening to the national anthem. For the betterment of Indian SportsMen and to make india's participation in olympics more meaningful, I have created a forum website, india4olympics . com This site is for those fans who would like to suggest how india can fair better in forthcoming Olympics, especailly 2012 and 2016. As we know, that unlike other countries Indian Govt. won't do much to help indian sports. So we must try our best to do things on our own. Bindra's gold was because of his own efforts and facilities he had. If he can do it then other indians can too in many other sports. So please go ahead and post your thoughts.

Well Beckham mite be gud in Soccer but never did he achieve or perform at International Level, hes always performed in club level dats it.

Like all oder ENGLISH PEOPLE hes gt attitude & hes Snobbish & dats d reason he has said that England would do better than China, evryone knows that theres no Country Except INDIA who can give a tough fight in any sector.

Wht England has is jus talks, so dey can only dream of getng closer to China.

its very hard to beat what the chinese did. they might have trampled on any human rights thats available. im not saying what they did was right. but, boy, youve gotta admit. they won the medals, AND presented a great games event.

i'd cheer for london, but britain aint no chinese. they cannot mass produce athletes like chinese did. if you look at the gymnasts and swimming teams, god knows how many fell by the wayside , with a ruined schooling and possibly thier career in order to be selected for the medals tally the chinese prepared for. no other country can ass produce athletes
