Any comments on this !!!!!!!!!!
by neeraj shrivastava on Aug 22, 2008 03:49 PM

"I have always done well at the US Open and it is very disappointing for me to miss the Grand Slam on my favourite surface due to my wrist injury," she said.

As far as i knw, her best at any grand slam is 4th round, and regarding the favourite surface, beijing olympics, australian open and many other events where she lost in first round had "hard court" surface only.

Sania is not focussed on tennis these days
by varun on Aug 22, 2008 03:35 PM

When she started her career indians had a lot of expectations from her. But as it is turning out she's just another flash in the pan. The problem with a lot of people is once they get a lot of money and fame they get satisfied easily and lose their focus. Sania also belongs to that category. This is where a sportsman like sachin is grt. Despite his success at a very early age he has never lost focus and has gone from strength to strength. But hope she recovers soon and starts winning again.

wrist injury or saving money ?????
by neeraj shrivastava on Aug 22, 2008 10:38 AM  | Hide replies

I think she's saving her money by not going to US, otherwise there wud be considerable in her, her mother n others' travels, because she knew in her heart she can't stand beyond 1 hr (thts max for her 1st round defeat). Already she had a trip on taxpayers' money. so she is saving here (Who knws this money will be helpful for her modelling career).

Please give her complete rest for atleast 20yrs
by PAVANKUMAR MADALA on Aug 22, 2008 10:26 AM  | Hide replies

What a shame.
I dont know why our sports authorities are still backing her even after these many shamefull eliminations and excuses. Its better to ask her to take up modeling and leave tennis for good.
She is not only making fool of her self but also all INDIANs.

India is famous not because of Sania's tennis, but because of Sania's lovely "Oranges". Wherever she plays, people are always looking at Sania's "Oranges" instead of the tennis ball.

Dare to Bare

India will become famous if Sania poses nude for Playboy. She should put her country's interests before her own. If Sania displays her lovely balls, she will become Playboy's playmate. This will bring fame to her country.

Am sure your Dad or Mom would have chided or pushed you to perform well or would have scolded you if your performance dipped in any of your academic endeavours. Just because they dont have a formal degree doesnt disallow them to correct you.
We all adore & cheer our sports persons because they have a special skill & we enjoy it. But Sania...she speaks louder than her game.

how right! i am not an actor, so i cant criticize a bad movie, i am not an architect, so i cannot criticize a bad building, i am not a minister, so i cannot criticize our political system.

On second thoughts, is the rediff forum only meant for comments from tennis players, who have an ATP/WTA ranking?

Can you assign some one from your family to teach her how to do that, it seems to me that you are expert in this field.
