Imagine if Bolt had not switched over from Cricket to Sprinting
by viv on Aug 21, 2008 01:28 PM

Imagine our elderly doddering senior citizen batsmen facing 155 kmph hostile deliveries. Seems like the only hope of scaring them into retirement is lost.
From the Guardian - "But Bolt wasn't always set to be a sprinter. Cricket was his first love. He stood out as a fast bowler playing for William Knibb High School in Trelawny, and only ditched his cricket whites when his coach, seeing how fast he could run, suggested he have a go at athletics. "

What kind of an idiotic question is this?

Does it make sense, if I say, Harinder Singh is very close to Jarnail Singh Bindranwale??

Osain Bolt is a phenomenon who comes along once in a century.

9.69 S in 100 & 19.30 S in 200. A swash-buckling performance Usain & way to go. Who bothers about names ?? Well, some do. That's why they are here mulling over meagre things & others are setting the track ablaze. Kudos Usain. We are waiting for a 9.5 S in 100 & a 19.00 S in 200 next time around

I don't think Hindus believe only in Vedas. It's only a cult and it is upto us to extract what goes in your stride.

As god is everywhere, hindus often can make , create and destroy the god without getting bothered of any repercussions.

So a hindu god in India may be different from a hindu god in Pakistan. This is because God's existence is within you and your faith should be acceptable under any circumstances.

Therefore God is not alien but one amongst us and he is considered as your power generator or destroyer. So imbibe good things from society and live on n pray to God as you wish .. don't restrict urself to just one God as ur faith will be taken for granted .

he was a keen cricketer before he turned to athletics.....

just imagine bolt running towards you with 6foot 5 inch frame and 100 meter type dash,,,,,indian batsman would be standing behind the wicketkeeper rather than in front of stumps

Well if he runs at that speed, the batsman probably will have to stand at the stadium to hit the ball.
