Mahesh leave the place
by crazyguy on Aug 19, 2008 08:09 PM

This Mahesh Bhupati is injecting venom to Indian tennis. Actually he has his useless ego problem with Lee and are misguiding others.
What the hell he has archived for India in comparison to Lee?
He should be thrown out of India (where he actually stays and seldom comes to India)

Perhaps Ramesh Krishnan should return as non-playing captain
by Kalyan Raman on Aug 19, 2008 08:01 PM  | Hide replies

If the youngsters have issues with Paes, perhaps Ramesh Krishnan should return as non-playing captain. As a senior, he will be able to command the respect of all concerned and get Paes and Bhupathi too to play together without external pressure on them. I also remember the Golden days of Davis Cup with Jaideep Mukherjea as non-playing captain, Ramesh Krishnan and Paes. There was so much comraderie and fun playing Tennis. Remember Frejus in France?

Yea, rt..those slow break-dance movement services of his. Dang, MacEnroe once commented that you could have a cup of tea before the ball reached you on the other side. Krishnan was the most pathetic tennis player in all of history.

Right Raman, that Frejus memory is still very much alive. What I can see is, when there was less money in most of these sports, the team involvement was much more. Now most of them play %-age game.

Bopanna, Amritraj & Bhupati
by RKT on Aug 19, 2008 07:07 PM  | Hide replies

These three have long way to go and touch height of acheivements already achieved by Leander. They must know that Lenader has become an ICON, a legend. He has played best tennis among top ranker in Davis cup. He has defeated Goran, Laconte, Sampras etc. top players in Davis cup ties. Leander is different when he plays for tricolour. Remember he got Olympic bronze when India was nowhere in Olympic scenario. Recall his marathon match with Agassi in Olympic semi final. Agassi bowed to his play that day and praised Paes saying that he was facing different person that day..

Leander's father is also Olympic medal winner (Hockey).

SALUTES to this one of the GREAT SPORTS ICONS on INDIA.......

You are absolutely right Mr. RKT. Paes has country interest first than his personal interest.

its not the right decision
by vinod MG on Aug 19, 2008 06:34 PM

If you look at the way both played against federer and Co in the Olimpics... it shud be noted that Paes was at his best to control the centre cort.. But I really do not know why Mahesh was playing in that fashion .. I doubt he himself sacrificed the coveted Olympic Gold to throw out Paes........

Sania can be the captain

Sania can be the non-playing captain of Indian mens team, she's ranked higher than men.

Yes, I would rate Sania in second position after Vijay Amritraj in all time great Indian tennis players. She is good.
