serena and venus are the best female players on tour....they failed to clinch singles title but have made ammends by winning the doubles gold for a record 2 time that too by demolishing score line...they always win tournaments n deserve no.1 position
Nadal is having an absolutely fantastic year! Given his type of play, one only hopes he lasts for a few more years. If he does, he will be a phenomenon. He is already one on Clay!

I hope he comes crashing down in the US open. he does not have the game for the fast courts. neither I think he will last that long.

Boss, your disappointment at Federer being knocked around by not just Nadal, but any Tom, Dick or Harry can be understood, but you need not belittle the achievements of the new king of Tennis: Rafael Nadal. Without quite worrying about the possibility of Federer bouncing back and reclaiming his title of World no.1, or Nadal not being able to win another Wimbledon, let us hail the new king. Even if he were not to achieve anything further, he will always be remembered as a great Tennis player for his exploits in the year 2008 alone. Just like Federer threatened to put Sampras into oblivion, Nadal threatens to push Federer exactly there. Federer did not succeed. Only time will tell whether Nadal would succeed. Let us wait and watch, and marvel at the new king of Tennis.
