just concentrate on one sport viz. swimming, and apply all our resources in developing good swimmers at the very young age, give good coaching, diets, infrastructure, encouragements, rewards in the form of jobs, etc.
it can give a lot of medals in just one sport, even if v dont do better in other sports. if v really go at swimming seriusly, chances of medals are highest in swimming with so many medal earning events.

Do you how tall is Phelps? He is 6 ft 4 inches. How many Indians have that kind of physic; In US, average height of even women is about 5'6". Average height of our men is in that range. Please let us be realistic. Instead we should concentrate on such sports like table tennis, Badminton, Archery, shooting, shot put, weight lifting etc, where already we have proved up to a certain point. That is what China has done, We should forget, track and field events

come on yaar, we are a country of 1 billion. concentrate on 1 sport.. v r already doing that.. cricket is one sport the whole country is mad about.

there should be a good policy for grooming olympic sports. our bureaucrats / politicians already eat all the money that the govt puts into this. unless this money goes to the deserved ppl at the grass root level, there is no hope for sports development.

It has to be a collective effort from corporates/ government to spend money on deserving sportsmen/women and groom them for future olympics. imagine somebody like sania who is really fit for nothing is getting sponsorship, does she deserve it for her lacklustre performance? unless, this scenario changes, no hope for indian sports

abhinav won it becoz he had all the training which was possible because of his dad. can all sportsmen/women get his luxury? if so then we will produce so many abhinavs..

let us hope that .. there is some good development in this regard.. and in the next olympics we will win a lot more medals.
