Chelsea are the new galacticos...
by mithun on Aug 18, 2008 07:25 PM

Gone are the days when Real Madrid were called the galacticos....Its time for Chelsea to be called the Galacticos.
Their team is pretty much an all star team in all positions. Especially their midfield is jampacked with superstars.....Ballack, Deco, Lampard, Joe Cole, Essien....It is an absolute wish list really. They definitely look the strongest side of the premiership this season on paper.
But during their heyday in the Mourinho era, Chelsea had wonderful wingers in Robben & Duff which seems to be lacking in this superstar studded side. Lets hope it does not turn out to be an embarassment of riches for them.

If Arsenal get a fully fit squad in about a months time then Arsenal vs Chelsea could just turn out to be the most high voltage clash of the season simply because of the exciting - attacking game of both the teams. Chelsea under Scholari definitely look a far more attacking side as compared to last year.

Man utd meanwhile will find out the effects of not having Ronaldo in their squad untill october...If they dont sign Berbatov or any similar effective striker, they could be out of the race pretty soon judging by the way they played on sunday. They have been lucky in the past two seasons with injuries whereas Arsenal have been mighty unlucky - so I guess the tide might just turn this season....

Please use man utd instead of by what you have used....because it is man utd or man united or manchester united not what you have written...please don't publish any articles in which you guys have no knowledge....atleast i have hoped you guys should atleast know that because you are humiliating the fans of man utd by calling it as man*...you should look at this issues as you can lose viewers from your site by making such mistakes....hope, you guys will rectify the mistake.......and hope you understand what i have explained..

These days, indian young people know about teams like Manu chelsea etc, while rest of the world is not interested and concentrate on how to improve their sports. Here we win one medal with great difficulty and youngsters instead of hoping to improve, waste time eatching epl at nights. Pity for indian sports
