Phelps got to tell his prez, that he eats a lot more than indians and all asians... It would be good if the entire US cuts their food intake by half.. !

Whatever Phelps takes, the exercise he does takes it off.
just concentrate on one sport viz. swimming, and apply all our resources in developing good swimmers at the very young age, give good coaching, diets, infrastructure, encouragements, rewards in the form of jobs, etc. it can give a lot of medals in just one sport, even if v dont do better in other sports. if v really go at swimming seriusly, chances of medals are highest in swimming with so many medal earning events.

consult a nutritionist or a good exercise physiologist who can tell you how much he needs to gulp down to stay fit at that level. t's quite normal at this level.

Ya, even i think this is an exaggeration...this might be a special diet for a week to help him recover from some ilness or something like that!!
I don't think a swimmer needs to eat that much...also, he weighs in at 90KG....at his height, that makes him quite slim and fit....

He is not a normal person - as the writer said he works out for five yours daily, six days a week. For such a workout, eating 12000 cals per day is not much.
I think these guys don't know how much Great Khali eats...it seems he begins his day with 12 boiled eggs and moves on to far bigger things as the day wears on....Dunno exactly how much he eats, but i can assure you, it is much more than what Phelps can manage in 2 days of eating!!
