FYI ... this is second match .. these r all knockout matches ..
some person here saying federer and Wawrinka are weak team because they don't play double. ha ha this attitude show why indian are not world beater, federer is one of the great, paes and bhupathi could never have beaten them, infact single handly federer alone can beat both of them.
They were up against a better pair. There is no doubyt they played and combined well. If anyone feels that there long and intermittent dis-association, for other than tennis reasons spoilt their chances , it was not in evidence in their game. Any tennis afficiando could well see that in their efforts. Let us remember them well as part of history. After all they did us proud on so many occassions in the past.

I agree 100 percent with you my dear friend. They didn't deserve to win. One good thing is that we won't be seeing them in next Olympics
What Olympics is this. Last time there was huge lobby from USA to put baseball even though most of the nations were against it. Not there is BASE ball. Why not cricket if BASE BALL is there? Why not chess..oldest sport in earth. When one Swimming is having 16 categories and if u have one fit player when u can get 8 MEDALS. Same with Gymnastics. WHY SO MANY MEDALS IN ONLY ONE SPORT? Volley ball, basket ball, beach volleyball, sprint running etc are hugely advantaged to height and strong races. How can Indian with average height of 5.5 compete with players with height of 6.5.
So don't worry too much and think of your core competence and churn it istead of feeling you are losers.

don't feel bad about baseball. india prob voted for it. remember the salt lake city winter olympics scandal. apparently, indians were supposed to have been paid off with a bottle of whiskey and some women.
take joy by supporting usa and seeing them deprive the communists of medals. chinese have cheated heavily in this games. also, when americans win medals, commies like yechury and karat will despair. that is good reason to root for the americans.

Not to offend anybody, but just a reality check- ethiopia (if you know where it is!!) got more medals in last olympics than india did in total olympics history. This is called 'Reality Bites'.

"How can Indian with average height of 5.5 compete with players with height of 6.5. "
Stop these stupid excuses. China and Japan dont have players that are 6.5 and see how well they are doing. Your message is a typical example of whats wrong with Indians. All we do is question the rules and give excuses like we are not tall enough. Its ridiculous...
news has just come in that the pair of federer-wawrinka has reached the mens doubles final by beating the competition's highest seeded pair of the americans byran brothers, who have won many grand slam titles.so the pair of paes-bhupathi should not be ridiculed for their loss to the above swiss pair.credit must be given to federer that he played continously 3 matches, singles against blake yesterday,& 2 doubles matches today.replacements for paes & bhupathi have to be found at the earliest if india wants to be the premier asian nation in tennis.

Replacements cant be found. it should emerge. Its not a electable or selectable position dude..

Will the angels drop the replacement from the sky? Or they will suddenly emerge from beneath the earth. That thinking is exactly the reason we are lacking in sports. We need to identify a bunch of youngsters worthy and taleneted and nurture them.. They will not nurture themselves and suddenly become Paes or Bhupathi.
