PHELPS HAS A WATERY SIGN
by Damodaran on Aug 15, 2008 05:17 PM  | Hide replies

Michael Phelps was born on June 30,1985.His birth number is 3(3 0=1).

Incidentally it is his 3rd olympics.

On August 12(1 2=3) he became the 5th person to secure 9 olympics gold medal

His fate number is 5.Wednesday is represented by number 5.

On Wednesday Phelps Moved past Paavo Nurmi,Carl Lewis,Mark Spitz and Larissa
Latynina by making his tally to 11 golds.

Phelps is now 23 years old(2 3=5).To be more precise,on Wednesday he was 23 years

and 45 days old,which adds up to 5(23 45=68,6 8=14,1 4=5)
In Beijing olympics he has 6 gold medals .If he can win all of his events the gold medals he will secure at Beijing will be 14 (1 4=5)
It may also be noted that Phelps was born in the Zodiacal Sign of Cancer. This is a watery sign.

Birth number, fate number and occult number influence a person differently.

That is the reason, why we got only one individual gold medal in 108 years. Shame on us still comparing numerology to human talents. Go and search in google for the amount of workout he does rather than sitting and counting numbers.

My brother is born on 21st of June 1985 and all the calculations coincides too. So why the Hell is he sitting at home and not in Olympics, winning medals.

Grow up...

Sajan i am not sure if you have heard about Virdhawal Khade he is a 16 year old best in his class, and he did well in his heats in olympics 2008, and he broke the national record but sadly that was not enough to qualify, so I think for a 16 year old its quiet an achievement and he qualified to beijing by his performance not by a wild card, so its not so bad there is hope and i am sure with proper training we also can produce results, not as Phelps but good enough as I dont think anyone can come close to Phelps achievements in the world.. so there are people who have done well, I agree cricket is the only game which is popular in India even though we are not the most reliable team but all that i hope changes, infact Indian football team qualified for the Asian cup too, so there is hope for the 1.2 billion people all is not lost.

i have a suggestion for the indian politicians..why dont they ask for reservations at the Olympics for SCs, STs, OBCs, Gujjars etc....maybe that will be necessary for India to win at olympics....lol
reservations everywhere...where is this country heading....we are moving back in history ..while China is moving 50 years ahead of us....

level playing field
by ItsMe on Aug 15, 2008 02:04 PM  | Hide replies

its not a level playing field anyways.

US guys have so much of technology help in training, medicines, etc. (Only medicines that can cause harm while enhancing performance are banned)

the chinese guys have factories to churn out players. so many of them get injured and ruin their lifes.

bindra family could afford the best for him, other indian shooters of india kept waiting for ammunition, while kalmadi on day of opening ceremony said that he has sorted out the problem and NOW on they will get ammunition.

so its difficult to say who is the best.

When the US guys were building technology capabilities to help their athelets in training, we indians were busy making entertaining bollywood naach gana. "Chinese guys have factories to churn out players", if it comes from the point of view of population then we are not far behind them infact we are ahead if you consider the area of the two countries.
"so many of them get injured and ruin their lifes" SO? is that reason enough to not be into sports? Well that attitude of Indians have held us where we are. So NO one is to blame but we ourselves.

you dont seem to get it.

either prosperous societies (or individuals) get medals, or nations that have dictatorship (well almost, where you can forcefully run factories, eg. east germany, china, USSR, etc.)

It is natural that other societies have other problems to set right first.

yes, we can keep demanding that society should do this-that, etc. but fact is that it will happen when we have prosperity. we are seeing improvements. more quarter and semi-finalists than ever before.

What about surinam, Turkey, nigeria or kazakhstan. other than nigeria, kenya none of the others are dictator countries.. they win on specific disciplines like wrestling, boxing, football, weight lifting and athletics. They have poverty .. not turkey though. But, they win gold consistently in all olympics. Why is that they win?

there are these few exceptions, coming from poor background, and reaching top. they are the real ones (e.g. our first bronze medalist, or ovens). I am not sure about these US or chinese ones. maybe they are good, or its just technology.

Let's for the time being assume final result tally is un-important. It is a pleasure for me to watch Phelp swimming and how each of his stroke and movement falls in right place at rite place. The margin of error being so small that it looks like clockwork rather than a mortal human in motion. To get that perfection requires way more hardwork (which probably very few in the world are tenacious, focused and committed enough to put in). No performance enhancing drugs or technologically advanced swim suit can provide that discipline. Same holds for most of the winning olympic athelitics.

The real problem with Indian system is that we have not yet learned what meritocracy means. True, we do not apply even an ioata of the earlier mentioned qualities (tenacity, commitment and focus) in our policy making. But as basic step, let's do what we can. Approve and appreciate 'merit' be it from a foreigner or the system which aids him/her, get inspired and strive to add on to the process. Once such ethics starts to kick into our system (which maybe slowly will perculate into our polticial system, hopefully), success will naturally follow.

U r right anand, INDIA is full of only Bollywood and dirty politics. Even if any fund is set aside for sport/games, it will be used up for their personal use with A....to...z reasons, coz they are dirty uneducated politicians and cvlaim they are the govt. Every thing is linked, no individual responsibilities. Certain younsters step-into news media to try something, but are really getting bogged by mentioning as report produced is incorrect and after some time, it will be dissolved.

INDIA SHOULD GO FOR MILITARY COUP AND SOME LEADERSHIP WITH VISION PERSON LIKE DR.ABDUL KALAM SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH EDUCATED PEOPLE WHO COULD THINK TO FACTORIZE.
