First of all we all have to congratulate Abhinav Bindra for his fantastic performance. He is the real HERO for INDIA. cricket is most stupid game. India should invest more money in other games like athelics, hocky, shooting etc. Cricket players and BCCI are just making money.

Hi Fried, There is no harm, I personally feel that we (India) is provide enough facilities to games other than Cricket... but just to point out don't call any game as stupid that doesn't looks like a gentleman.

You are saying this coz u do not know the available facilities of other games except cricket. The facilities of other games is of very low standards.Do you know that the athletic players of national level of our country is doing CLASS IV jobs in governments offices ??

who said that other games are not supported by indian govt.. Indian govt spend more than 1.5 crores for a single athelete named Abhinav Bindra... but for cricket thay spend Rs. 0...... its not the govt of India funding for cricket, but BCCI which is an autonomus body to rule cricket... but Indian govt is funding for atheletes, shooters, arches, etc... its is bad administration in hockey fed, football fed, and olympic asso. that puts the other games into bad state.... At least think why cricket is sooo popular in the country... ans. is just simple... the pathetic state of performance.... also u knw BCCI is contributing Rs. 50 crores every year to promote sports other than cricket in India... still the curse goes to.....

The reason of popularity of cricket is due to the foolish people like you who waste there whole day or even five days time in watching the game. It is game of luck only that is the reason it is not in the Olympics. Abhinav Bindra is supported by 1.5 crores (as you said) but what about Sachin or Dhoni who has more than 100 crores. Abhinav does not need the support and he itself is the CEO of a company.

Exactly. Cricket is promoted by people and hence corporations. Public sector like AAA are supporting other sports. Some how these athletes with the help of media should rope in some private corporations to support them. That will happen if individuals like BIndra win gold. Saina did well also to come to Quarter finals. Let us see if from this year there is more support.

Please note that I don't think that India did not fare enough just because it did not have the so called "facilities", because without those enough facilities Zimbawe have 2 medals to their name..not the facilities, but the spirit is missing from Indians.

Do not worry man. As for as the people like you will alive there is a lot of hope in cricket. The Indian cricket team is meant to make money and the people like you watch this foolish game. If Indian cricket team win the WORLD CUP then they will be facilitated by Sharad Pawar (he thinks that standing with Indian cricket team will give him votes) publicly. We should give importance to the people like Abhinav Bindra, who has given the first individual gold medal in a Olympics in the Indian History
