I am sure a lot of people who post on this rediff boards have not even picked up a tennis racquet. When Sania reached the third round a few times, there was a lot of hue and cry. But I had predicted nearly 2 years back that she will never make it. She was and is still lacking in mental stamina and fitness. Her technique was also faulty. She really was not able to get into big rallies. At the top level one has to learn to move one's opponents around and involve them in big rallies from time to time. You cannot just keep going for those winners everytime!
However Somdev is cut out for bigger things. As a tennis player myself, I have watched him play. He has a good technique, a sound mind and good physique. He has good defense as well as attack. He might have to show a little more aggression against some of the top players. If he is not hampered by any kind of injury, I think he is definitely a top 50 prospect. Mark my words!

Hope your prediction comes true!! But have no clue where you have seen his action and how it makes you a ample guru to become expert juts because u picked the rocquet before.
Lets not read too much with this victory since though that guy is a former 21st seed, he is currently 27 yrs old and coming back from longinjury. So let leave alone Som for some time and dont build big expectation out of him.
