Naidu the SAI official should be arrested & also sacked
by bhushan hegde on Aug 10, 2008 01:02 PM

This is sickening. Naidu has surely taken bribes from Shailaja Pujari. Naidu may also be involved in doping of athletes. he should be sacked & also arrested for ruining the olympics dream of a budding athlete.

Situation of Sports in the Country...
by Souvik Jana on Aug 10, 2008 12:58 PM

We are a population of over 1 billion. Still we are not getting enough young people to be good enough in sports and qualify in the Olympics. In my opinion the attitude towards sports has to be blamed. In India, Cricket is God. Young people in India dream of becoming Cricketers and even Parents support them as if they become a part of the Indian Team they will earn huge amount of money... What about other sports... Are you crazy... They are doomed... No parents would want their child to go there... Where is the money?? Where is the fame?? I dont think any Paret will send their kids to such a risky career.... There is nothing there.... Look at the situation of Hockey, Football and other sports apart from Cricket.... Is there any chance of changes?? I dont think so.... The current youth has to get jobs.... So that they can show a high prestige in society... There is no prestige in other sports except Cricket.... And you expect people to be as good as Players from other countries... Those players have a passion towards the game. In our country there is no Passion towards any other game except Cricket... So dont hope... if we do win a medal, consider that lucky....

It it is not regional politics, it is a bribe which Shailaja Pujari has paid to Naidu of SAI.
Shailaja Pujari was earlier banned for doping, therefore Naidu must have been involved in that also

I don't know and I don't think anybody would be able to understand the pain that Monika must be going through, she worked so hard for this occasion and she was denied what was rightfully hers. The people who ever is involved in this should be punished because its not just Monika they have laid down buts its the nation they have cheated as she could have possibly got the medal for India.

Monika....Oh No !! What is happening to Indian sport
by Vinayaka on Aug 10, 2008 09:14 AM  | Hide replies

Poor girl Monika...if she is really innocent, then it must be very very tough because every sportsperson works so hard day and night to fulfil her/his only dream to qualify for and represent her/his country at Olympics.

This is a matter of national shame for India. Isnt it ? Indian Olympic confusion (IOC) ??

Who is truthful finally ? Monika or the people who levelled charges ? Why they withdrew charges now ? ON what basis did they charge ?
If they didnt have proof why and how could they charge someone of a mistake that person couldnt have committed ? Are they withdrawing charges just because of severe pressure and protests from North East folks and many sportspersons from India ?

All these questions need to be answered.

If the dope charges are false then the person who brought this bad name to her should be openly punished severely. Those responsible for spoiling her career should not be let away with a small fine or penalty as it usually happens in India. They should be dealt with severely.

good post vinayaka. i agree the culprit shud b punished severely. if monika is innocent, the person withholding her in ind shud b hanged.

but also other possibility is that monika might hv taken drug but due to political pressure from manipur cm and pmo to drop her doping charges and by a formula, saved her by not sending to beijing where she wud hv otherwise been caught for doping.

Well said. I agree fully. IOC should punish the Talungu dogs and shout them in front of public.

monika was innocent, thats why they waited for the eve of her departure to produce that false report ( the tests were done 1 month ago, so they would have needed 2-3 days for the report... then why did naidu wait 1 month... it is clear he has taken bribes... pls respond to my message " Rediff should start an e-mail campaign to have Naidu sacked"

Rediff....please update... Saina begins Sunday with a Bang...sails to 3rd round.

Rediff....please update... Saina begins Sunday with a Bang...sails to 3rd round.

Saina Nehwal of India entered the 3rd round in Ladies Singles Badminton at Olympics after another spirited performance today.

Just minutes ago I was thrilled and jumped in joy with my friends in Hyderabad watching this girl perform so amazingly under the tutelage of the great Pullela Gopichand. The 18 year old Hyderabadi who is currently World no. 15 beat Ukranian in 2 straight games (in Badminton each set is called a game) although the first game was a close affair which she won 21-18.

Just yesterday Saina beat World No.30 from Russia.

Go Saina !! Go !! Make INDIA and our Hyderabad proud. Jai Hind.

Manav...come on man...you are talking as if you saw everything with your 2 eyes. Nobody knows what happened at all. How can you say all this nonsense. How can you blame a section of the community of India. Wrong buddy..Yeh galath hoga yaar.

Please relax buddy. Noboday knows the TRUTH. Thats the problem in India always. Suddenly they charge someone. Suddenly they say charge is lifted. On what basis or proof the charge was first made on someone...nobody knows. Same way on what proof they removed the charges nobody knows. We are all kept in dark always. So its quite wrong to blame someone without knowing the FACTS. Better to remain quiet in the dark and pray to God that justice be delivered and the REAL innocent people are protected and the REAL guilty ones brought to book.

Vinayaka buddy, who else do you think is behind this? If the government doesnt target shailaja now she will get away with it easily..we all are laidback..no justice is given..

As for 'nonsense'..ididnt target the telugu communty in india but at SAI..ivery well know shailaja has a strong andhra backing in SAI..u can confirm this..and then decide whether its nonsense..

if we remain quiet in the dark, everything will go down quietly..act fast police!

The truth always hard to digest...
Most of the Telugu people are corrupt..The man who has done this is a Telugu...
They use fake certificates to get in to TCS, Infy and other companies. Even they get in to foreign universities using unfair means. Sorry friend……but this is a fact…
