I believe Beijing Olympics has had the most spectacular opening ceremony among all Olympics. China has so much to boast about and they have done full justice to their achievements. Staying in UK, are all Asians, and Beijing Olympics is as much a matter of pride to us Asians as it is to the Chinese people. It makes us proud of the rich heritage of Asia. It makes us believe that the next Asian country to host the Olympics will be none other than our India. And we will do so with much pride, pomp and galour!

I share the sentiments but with a pinch of salt! China spent $40 billion, many times others. Their aam aadmi sacrificed a lot for the pride of their country. Foremost, their people were united & the nation rose as one to make the event a success.
For us, it will be a cacophony of dissent from the starting bell! Remember, the first & last time we had Miss Universe contest in Bangalore. Never again! Our culture was under threat, so the virgins shouted & protested!

When you look at this opening ceremony, the words like "wow" or "amazing" seem insufficient. What a show... the best ever in the history of any event, not just olympics!!
