NADAL HAS BEEN PLAYING WELL AND HE DESERVED TO BE NUMBER ONE AND NOT TO FORGET THAT HE IS PLAYING CONTINOUS AND IT'S TAKING TOIL ON HIS BODY..... BUT STILL NADAL CAN BE NUMERO UNO. NADAL U ROCKS!!!!!!!
Nadal's game is physical in nature. It is hard on his body. To his credit he has remained relatively injury free so far. I doubt if he can maintain this high energy game for long
No one can match the ease and the calm composure with which Roger goes through his matches. It will be a sad day, if a player solely depending on arrogance, lacking the charm, takes over the World No 1, even that after snatching it from a man with all ingredients needed for a beautiful tennis.
It is more sader to note that suddenly, Roger's game (or rather the percentage of victories) started a downslide.
Hope that he will come back more stronger and rule roost again.

nice to see rogers end of no.1 spot. he enjoyed it as there was no good player with agassi, sampras almost retiring at same time. With Djokovic, Safin and Nadal now uncle roger will have tough time to be in top 3. Nice to see Nadal who brought mix of brain and brawn in tennis.

shazid...that's unkind to say that there was no good player when roger was reining..well, nadal and djokovia have been around since 5 years when roger started his no.1 ranking...the fact is nobody was good enough to match his play...that was the reason he was the invincible champion...but now as nadal and djoko have improved considerably...he is getting good competition...however this is the one bed year he had....he is only 26 and will come back again...remember sampras retired after winning us open at the age of 34

Sure Roger is still world no.1 but its the match brtween old and young. Roger is aging. Nadal is still young.
This match just proved that Rafa is not the best HC player and can be beaten. This will give other players confidence. He'll never be able to hold on to that number 1 position for too long.

yes... and this will probably reignite the fire in federer to step up and regain his no 1 position within 2-3 months....go roger....
I just hope Federer regains his form for the US open. The current top 3 is probably the best top 3 the world has ever seen.Tennis fans are blessed right now and i hope we get more matches like these. Go Nadal, Novak and Roger !!!
This win epitomises the point that djoker is the best player of hardcourts right now...the way he attacked the ball was absolutely tremendous....in yesterday's conference, he pointed that nadal's sliding and returning the shots might not work here at hardcourts..and that is exactly what happened...the winners down the line he hit were a treat to watch. i think he is the probably the top favourite to win us open.
