main culprit is public himself
by attacker on Apr 29, 2008 08:30 PM  | Hide replies

indians has the bad habit of criticizing organisers, politicians for everything. why media dont encourage sports in india?? why corporate world not helping sports in india?? bcoz public dont care abt sports in india... india is an unsportive nation... what organisers or politicians can do whn public himself is not feeling ashamed of shameful position of india in sports world... its public who need to improve themselves.. whn our team perform bad thn media highlight very well but whn they perform good they dont care to cover news.. shame on indian media and public.. nothing will change untill public will improve in india and start taking interest in power sports..

how many people here can name the team or players who got selected to represent india in olympic.. whn some1 failed to qualify thr is lotz of hype in media.. how much public is encouraging the players participating in olmpics... whn we cant praise players whn they win or qualify then we have no right to criticize them whn they lose..

in short, india is country of loosers.. a non-sportive weak nation.. not capable of playing power sports

almost all federations in india are having politicians as their presidents and they are staying not less than 15 years just imagine only hockey is caught.let a complete CBI inquiry be instituted to look all the accounts and scandles .And dont spare sports authority of india also.let the report be made public.i think the amount will cross the annual income of BCCI

happy about the suspension of IHF
by Cubeblogger on Apr 29, 2008 10:58 AM  | Hide replies

It couldn't have come at a more appropriate time than this. Though sting ops can be irritating sometimes but this time it has done a world of good for Indian hockey. Thanks to the news channel that has run this. The selection committee and the chief advisor must do some morale boosting for the team and Indian Hockey as a whole.

Yup, it was nice to see this miracle really taking place but still no suprise now after reading through this post as apparently it suggests that the IOA must have had a tremendous pressure from its international body or FIH and only as a result of this we are seeing all this revamping and scrapping of age old currupt IHF body. Moreover its very hard to digest that people like Mr. Kalmadi who himself is enjoying the cream of the chair from a very long time can really do any such thing to his hockey counterpart Mr. Gill so instantaneously.

Good after a Long time

This step is a definite boost to our hockey players.

Like cricket, Hockey also should be attended to by Govt, private players and media.

This is the time of Corporatise Hockey in India
by S Shrikanth on Apr 29, 2008 10:35 AM

This is high time when Govt should corporatise Hockey to reach it to maximum people. Today cricket is popular because of corporates running this game. Although cricket is not popular in more than 10 countries in the world, it is popular in India due to being run free from Govt interference(in fact whole hearted support from Govt). Hockey can also be governed the same way.

Now one should not indulge into who did what. The new steering committie should not thin over how to regain the lost glory of the game that brought us 7 Olympic Golds and one World cup. We were unbeatable till early 70s.

This spectacular and artistic game can easily give run for money to cricket which is already on decline due to overdose of cash, sex and filth.

Too Late, Damage has been done

Hi Indian Hockey Federation members,

What were you guys doing for last 10 years, we never been playing well. You guys were telling the whole world that, not sponsor or no money coming in and whatever little money the Federation had, you guys swindled it !shame on you guys.

It is just like SELLING your MOTHER, for the sake of Money ! Shame ! Shame ! Shame !

All the Federation Guys, should disclose their assets, and the CBI should get into action and verify the accounts for last 10 years ! those who mismanaged, they photo/along with family members should be printed on the FRONT page.

Good these guys did not RULE india, otherwise, they would have sold it !!!

Gill would have been a Tough person in Police Force, but a CORRUPT man ! Shame on you GILL
