Too Much Hype by Dr. Mallya
by Srinath S on Apr 24, 2008 06:53 PM  | Hide replies

As an Indian and I am always behind Force India to get through the race, and finish with points, what bites me is the fact that Dr. Mallya is going for too much hype and PR for the team. Instead he should have spent the money on development of the car and the drivers. Same is the case with the Bangalore Royal Challengers...Guys, first do what you are supposed to do - win races/matches then get into all this. Too bad Doc.. you missed the beat!

Dude,

Don't take it in a wrong way. The publicity for these kinda events is to create a brand value. When you try creating a brand value more people will come to know about the name. And when more people start recognising Force India, there will lot of endorsement coming in. And obviously more money, which will help them to invest on technology. Malya does not have to do anything with this..Its all done by marketing guys. And last but not the least....Kingfisher is known as malya, inturn a liquor barren. This is all achieved due to publicity.

Cheers
Sachin

With you comments I seriously doubt you follow Formula 1. Mallya bought a team which was formerly called Jordan GP, then Midlands and then finally Spykar F1. Spykar F1 in 2007 finsihed 17 races and garnered only 1 point and was placed 10th. As far as FIsichella's finishes it seems FOrce India might be able to score some points. As far as podium finish Mallya has already indicated they will probably hope for one in the 2009 season.... Please dont compare IPL which is a new concept with very little legacy to F1 which is a well entrenched concept... please follow the sport atleast before making randomn comments..
