Ferrari NO to Fernando
by abhishek gupta on Apr 22, 2008 07:04 PM  | Hide replies

Fernando is a different type of guy, something like a Juan Pablo Montoya, who always had something or someone to blame when thigns dint go his way.

I think Ferrari are not like other teams. Wen they choose drivers and support them, they go with them and have full conviction.

Morethan that, MSC stepped down so that Massa's future is secure and he sees a brilliant driver in him. Would have been highly disappointing if Ferrari went for Fernando for some whims of a big business-man, who knows nothing about scuderia Ferrari and racing than being its boss.

I think Montezemolo got rapped on the knuckles by more sensible and important people in the team and hence the clarifiction, since it was him who added fuel to this fire.

Ferrari does not need Alonso to win titles. Kimi & Massa r quite capable of doing so.
I just hope Ferrari don't change their mind and sign Alonso.

Alonso's arrogance
by mehul patel on Apr 22, 2008 06:45 PM

No one in right frame of mind will want Alonso in a team. He is very selfish and arrogant.Just see his behavior with Renault and McLaren.

Very well said Montezemolo.

Alonso is the type of sportsman a team with such a huge reputation like Ferrari would recruit only on their peril.

Very unsportive, always crying, no respect for the team leaders or fellow drivers. This guy Alonso is a total crap. Could not digest the performance of a rookie driver Hamilton last season. Instead of feeling proud for his team and being supportive for a young driver he let his team down devicing tactics against his own teammate.

And this season is no different. Just afte one bad race he said Renault is bad and he may be moving to Ferrari as if Ferrari would grab him with both hands. An insane driver jumping like a Monkey from one team to another year after a year he was dreaming wrongly. Ferrari boss given him a fitting reply he deserves.

Hope he learns the value of working as a team member for team's cause. Otherwise, he may face the prospect of getting kicked out of the Formula 1 itself and get totally ignored by all the teams.
