How many protestors the government thinks will be able to reach anywhere near the torch relay run? To my mind, a maximum of 150 protestors may come in the proximity and that too if they plan very meticulously and shrewdly. Amazingly, 15,000 policemen have been deployed to guard the torch. It means there will be 100 policemen to stop one protestor physically. Ratio comes to 1:100. It seems government is expecting all hell to break loose because of the independence seekers. Do the protestors have so much will power and determination that has forced the Indian government to make such elaborate security arrangements? If yes then nobody can stop their victory march. The protestors have already gained moral victory over the oppressive Chinese government. It now hardly matters if they succeed in extinguishing the torch or not. Hats off to these brave men!
Its crazy Rediff only uses its forum for such trivial matters. Rediff is showcasing a man who few days back stabbed our country once again in China by telling the Chinese that Iran-Pakistan-China should form a corridor for the Gas pipeline instead of Iran-Pakistan-India.
This man is deceitful and most un-trustworthy , remember Kargil....well its most unbecoming of Rediff to glorify this guy!
Its a shame that this guy is holding the Olympic torch.
Down with this back stabber, down with the people who glorify him!

The great poet seems to be very weak in English. He should better use his mother tongue for writing poems. However the spirit was great.
