All said and done Paes has done so much for India in Davis cups and tht surely needs to be respected. Paes and to a greater extent Ramesh Krishnan were not exactly the kind of gifted players but they lifted their games, played their hearts out and had a bigger passion for their country tht saw them clinch some memorable games...I still can't forget those glory days when India absolutely pulled out a rabit frm the hat when they beat the French at their home in clay!!!
Time for our next gen players Prakash and Rohan to make an impression. They must now stay focussed on their games and stop themselves in what looks more and more like a schoolyard mudfight.
Its only performance tht counts and more than any other time in recent future this is an opportunity that matters. They must embrace the sweat and forget their egos.
Paes and Bhupati should stop all squabbles. Captain should spare his ego. This will promote Tennis. Singles matches against Japan; proved what could be in store for India in future. Read the clear writing on the wall??
