By all means the Tibet should be a free country. By any means Tibet is of no economic or strategic use to either China or India,Tibetans are simple religious people who simply should be left at peace.India should boycott the olympics or atleast protest the atrcoities of Chinese govt.If nothing else India should ask the chinese troops to back off from the Arunachal Pradesh-Indian Territory.

Yeah, In any case they will win just 1 or 2 medals. So why not just back out (Tibet ke vastey).
We should boycott the olympic as well as the Olympic torch events. Are we living in India or in China. Why the GOI is bending its knee to China. is this the definition of democractic, republic, sovereign government.

I would favour absenting from the Olympics. We are terribly underprepared (except for men's doubles tennis)and end up as 'jokers' in every sport.
Also there are always more officials than participants who go on these trips.
It is not about losing but how badly. The baton slips during a relay race. The runners can't complete the 10,000 metres.
We cannot be wasting the money of the taxpayers on such luxuries when the nation is starving (refer to the recent deaths in Vidharba and the rising costs).
