Leander Paes is the Problem
by Sanjay Ranawat on Apr 15, 2008 02:31 PM  | Hide replies

Leander Should have avoided this by not teaming up with Sania Mirza. Sania was promoted by Mahesh bhupathi's Company. Hence, Mahesh should have had the first access to her assets. If leander had been gracious, this problem would not have come. He has to be blamed for this kind of a situation.

Who are these loafers - Bopanna, Prakash Amritraj?
by C Kr on Apr 14, 2008 01:01 PM  | Hide replies

Sa' ala they have some world 10000 ranking, play in some ghatiya challengers and never make it anywhere, and so much nakhras?
This is Indian's next generation? Cheeee.

Such a sea of mediocrity with overrated chumps like these, not to mention Sania Mirza - and they behave some triple GSlam champions. Even the champs show some grace and humility.

Besides of course our 'would have been singles champ superstar' Paes' idiot comments last week.

As it is, in India the biggest egos are seen in these useless under 16, under 18, under 14 tournaments - where these wimps show up with king-size egos, mediocre game and mediocre coaches, not to mention parents. Just see how badly these wannabes behave. It all starts there.

Shame.

i agree about boppanna and prakash...they are little side-kicks. Paes and Bhupathi are international stars.

And of course these junior players will also cheat and lie to play in lower age groups. happens all the time. just see the club tourneys.
Opposite of Germany, Sweden where kids compete to play in higher age groups for better quality play.

Cheap tabloid journalism
by Vijay on Apr 14, 2008 12:38 PM  | Hide replies

Such-much Boss... this country is the World's Ocean of Gyan. Hamari khud ki bhale hi phati rahe par hum duniya ko gyan zaroor baantenge. The writer of this article is simply trying to sow a seed of doubt in people's mind that official version of injuries was incorrect. He has no proof but because she cannot think straight, she believes nobody on this earth can think straight. This cheap tabloid journalism is very unfortunate in this country. It misguides people. These writers can do so much good stuff for the country (remember they said, "Pen is mightier than sword"?) but all they do is ghatiya tricks so they can generate more clicks on their articles. Yes people will read these articles and also comment on them because they have been conditioned to feed on cheap stuff. One would hope these guys play more responsible roles in building the nation.

Yes...rightly said.
But it is good to reply to the article & express your opinion, rather than keeping quiet..
Atleast now we know what we can expect from this Deepti Patwardhan.

Most stupid article i have ever seen
by itsme on Apr 14, 2008 12:20 PM  | Hide replies

Playing for India is a privilege i agree but for that, should the players risk injuries especially if the tie is already a dead rubber.

Mahesh and Leander have some differences and its in best interest if they burry that hatchet, but isnt it their greatness that when it comes to playing for India they always give their best shot. Both of them deserved to be treated like one of the greatest champion sportstars of India.
So its best for media especially rediff to publish these kind of rubbish nonsense articles

The number of messages for an article increases if the people have difference in opinion with the article...so there's nothing wrong with it..
We can stop such articles by responding to such articles.

Boys to men

must be given the responsibility for coaching all sports captains in leadership style, boldness and motivation. Leander should be made to spend watching and interacting with Dhoni for at least 10 days before allowed to talk to the other boys ( none of the tennis guys are men as they fight like school boys )

India make a mockery of Davis tie
by mohan krishnan on Apr 14, 2008 12:02 PM

how come Japanese media does not crib about their loss to India. support our team in spite of loss to them in reverse singles at least congratulate them on winning 3-2 Paes & Bhupathi may have past their prime at least they tried to win. don't support the media as they need some gossip to do with. after some days there will be a denial by players saying there is no rift between Seniors & Juniors in tennis too and always remember winning and losing is part of game

One chines CEO was asked to make a differenciation between Indians and chines. Guess what he said?
"One Indian is equal to Two chienes, but two Indians are equal to half a chienes", you see what he ment?

Indians CAN NOT team work. We just hate each other. We are medicore people with an extra large ego. We are directionless yet we do not want to accept leadership from someone.

A collection of large numer medicore indivisuals coming together creats a mediocer nation, a collection of large numer extraordinary indivisuals coming together creats an extraordinary nation - Simple fact, no rocket science!

Oh yeah things are very cosy here isnt it? It shows the capabilities of the 15gram of mass that god placed between your two shoulders.
See you are not even willing to accept the facts. The first step towards changing is to understand what mistakes we are making, then change it. But you dont even want to accept the mistakes. And that is what I call EGO! Useless speaking to you, you will just not understand.

Sharad Pawar should head AITA. He will make sure Wimbledon / other grand slams are scrapped and just one set tournament will be organized to attract rest of the world.
