Many many congratulations Mr. ANAND. You have achieved greatest goal of anybody in the world. We all Indians very proud of you. Please dont expect any welcoming function because chess is genius's game, it is not politicized as cricket and also can not fixed like cricket. So please please dont expect any grand receiving function.
Now Even a 3 year old takes a bat and ball to play cricket, where as how many guys know to play chess, thats why indians are talking eating sleeping cricket everybody knows the game

There may aroung 50 crore cricket loving people in India. If you say they are fools then you are in the country of fools. support chess, do not s**t on cricket. Mind game for olds not young.

Zeng, the pakis have pea sized brains and they have proved it in 20-20 cricket. They cannot even arrange the pieces on chess board let alone play it..Congrats to Anand on being crowned the World champion for the 2nd time..
Popularity is the factor that decides the level of reception for anything in this world. Cricket has lot of money (Yes given by Cricket lovers by way of Ticket price for each match)CHESS don't have that much money. So don't expect the same reception given to cricketers.

he is not expecting and never expected anything frm the nation.. he has only given honour to the nation and never expect anything in return...
its the media, who framed his word in the wrong way... shame on media... first they intentionally ask this question to anand... and now sensanalising it... the old game of media..
fyi, anand get more recognition frm spain got, media and public than india.. shame on the part of we indians...

btw, anand is one of the richest indian sportsperson.. and hes already getting around 1.6 crore rupees frm this tournament
You did a fantastic job for India. Unfortunately our politicians know only about CHEESE and not CHESS. There is no BCCI in Chess for people to loot. I hope each state in India will give him Rupee One Crore. Except for the President of India, no one bothered to congratulate Anand.
