If India does well in hockey, then it will help world hockey... just like cricket... where not just Indian but aussie , kiwi, paki, english, srilankan & westindian cricketers make a lot of money doing ads in India, Imagine not just Indian hockey players but dutch, german & spanish hockey players also doing ads in India.
FIH should understand that & help revive Indian hockey... & the best way was to let us host the Champions trophy.
The Europeans are scared of India, they know Indians are in top form and will be tough for the Europeans to beat India at this moment!!!. They are inviting Britain and Pakistan to get practice since these teams are very weak compared to India. Indians do not loose heart, the Olympics will be ours!!!

Steady Peter.We don't know how we compare to the top teams in the world. True we won the Asia Cup, but our only tough games were against Korea. Until we beat Australia, Germany, Holland & Spain CONSISTENTLY,I remain unconvinced about the Europeans being scared of us!

ajeet be positive, the europens cant play hockey. they can only change rules to suit them... just take away the penelty conner and india will trash them. we play beauiful hockey. the asia cup 95% goals were field goals and the way we played was a joy to watch. given a little more encorragement and support from the IHF they will beat anyone.
