Ferrari can win the championship only in this way. They win either by smashing in to opponents or winning in the court. On track they are the loosers frm last 3 years.

Karthik u seemed to be a poor follower of formula 1 ... mclaren was nowhere last year and came up close to be crowned this year not because their drivers are too good its bcos of the benefit derived from their research as well as the research data of Ferrari's ... its a sport controlled by technology.. remember that when u make comments

What a sad way to end a good FI season ! Anyway, in the future, teams will think twice before cheating.

oh cmon. dont be a cry baby like the whole of McLaren team, for the exception of hamilton. there must be something for which McLaren "accepted" the charges. the drivers are good and are fighting it out, but cmon, ferrari deserve the constructors trophy.

Agree...This is madness....I think at best there shiuld have been a 15-20 point penalty but Mclaren should have been given a chance to still win this...whats worse they cant have any points for next season as well

Championship not deserved by Ferrari????? What did the ferraris do..they did nothing...It was the McLaren who were responsible for whatever they did and who is sure they havent used the info to improve their car.....they knew as far as which car would be stopping on which lap. Agreed Ferrari had a traitor, but there r something called ethics and sporting spirit which the Mclaren hasnt adhered to..may be not the entire team,,but one cannot be sure. And the complete text document of the scandal has been released in the official formula1 website, it is very easy to understand how big the crime is!

Yes I agree Ferrari does not deserve the Championship, but after what McLaren did, they do not deserve it either.

F1 is decided by which team has the most efficient technology, and if one team steals another's technology then they do not deserve to win.

That any human with common sense will agree.

If all of you guys analyze the published data on F1 site - you will come to know how the McLaren team tried to benifit from Ferrari - data.

To be on record even Renault team boss has openly said that it was surprising to see "McLaren adjusting so quickly to Bridgestone tyres as Reanult team is still struggling even after one year". We all agree that it was fantastic F1 season, but sports ethics needs to be followed.

To conclude - If one team use other teams confidential data and wing design - its useless even if they win constructor's championship or drivers championship.

I think McLaren learned this hard way. Hope to see a keenly fought 3 way drivers championship!!

And Ferrari's weight distribution,

And Ferrari's tyre gas,

And Ferrari's individual game strategies,

etc. etc. ......

McLaren deserved to be kicked out of the game for atleast 5 years.

FIA has protected McLaren, just for the sake of protecting the game.

I just want to see, how they boast off their driver's trophy, if they win it??!!

Ofcourse, everyone knows that itz a stolen one!! can they celebrate??!!

McLaren got what it deserved. It is a pity the Drivers points have not been stripped away too.

Bravo to Ferrari which still managed to be very close to McLaren even with such serious breach of vital Information.

For all those who think they know the about F1 because they are just been following it for 10 years or so. Here is the deal.

I am a CFD engineer. Do you have any Idea how much resource, man-power, intellect goes into designing those Cars? Those are engineering marvels. And if somebody steals another Car Manufacturers details, he has more or less stolen the car itself.

And to those McLaren die fans. Do you even know how bad McLaren did last season? It only finished where it is now because it had Ferrari Technology.

I guess McLaren now realises it could have actually been banned for quite a few years. It is the most flimsy of punishments for its acts to get only some Constructor points stripped.

And if Ferrari doesn't deserver Constructor's champoinship, tell me , who does?

And yeah, try to think in the broader perspective. And do not just think the championship depends only on the drivers. Or else Toyota's , Aguris will all be on top. It is all about technology and drivers together.

You have just reflected my thoughts Joel.

Well said.

This Pradeep is a mad mclaren fan, who thinks that all ferrari fans lack f1 knowledge.

Well, he still must be dreaming. McLaren has already accepted their mistakes but our poor pradeep is still refusing. Why?

I think Pradeep must be living by cheating other people.

Tell us pradeep, are you a pick-pocket or chain snatcher or burglar or cyber-criminal or beggar??!!

For the record I am a die hard Ferrari fan and as far as knowledge of game's concerned...Lets see if you can win a quiz on F1 with me...There is no point in showing bravado in asking someone else's knowledge or lack of it...

All I am saying is the game has been robbed of a great finish...But you wont understand as you dont understand the game

@ Anuj:

If you read, George Verghese has pointed a finger at Mr. Pradeep Kumar and not you.

As for your point, I initially thought you were hinting at Mr. Pradeep not to boast about his knowledge....

I second you when you said """There is no point in showing bravado in asking someone else's knowledge or lack of it..."""

But why are you showing off now.

Sri
PS: Won a Free Invite to Indianapolis, by winning an F1 quiz, when I was studying in the US. ...So, after making a good statement...dont spoil it by showing off.
Just a Suggestion.

hold on... its absolutely true the game has been robbed of the fantastic finish it promised and probably mclaren getting that championship.. but the punishment given is absolutely justified .. there is no pardoning for stealing IP.. it might not have been proved that it was used but the fact that it was being done (over a period) and shared has is more than sufficient for relegating a team... thankfully FIA has given the drivers their points for their efforts..
i think mclaren deserved this for not their operations.. it is probably not the right way to win championships for ferrari but its mere mclaren's mistakes...

I am a ferrari fan too and I too feel that the verdict has been too harsh. Indeed the game has been robbed of a great finish. Lets hope this does not happen in future....At least Alonso and Hamilton have their points intact so the drivers championship is heading to an intriguing finish. Can still keep fingers crossed.
