Anand is a role model to our younger generation. He is simple, dedicated, very sportive, honest & nobel personality. He makes all Indians proud for his great achievement. We wish him best of luck for remaining rounds.

What's the secret behind the sucess of "Anand". He used to keep himself away from the media, he never goes for any kind of advertisement etc. He just used to concentrate on his game, he is not like cricket players. Those who are given excessive hype just because of single good performance. Heyy friends, it's all because of us. We should rather now start giving importance to other sports like hockey and other games. Media just used to write or publish something, which we like. How many of us were present, while india perform superbly in last asia cup. How many of hockey matches, we have seen in that tournament. Jugraj singh have done better than either yuvi or any cricketing player in that tournament. Still he has never been given till now that much of praise. I have atleast decided that i will be seeing everytime the hockey match of our team. Hope you are also gonna do the same. If we will start supporting other games and players. Surely we will get more better performance in cricket and other games. Chak de india. We are always with you irrespective of any game. We will be representing our nation in a better way then. Surely it will force our young buds to perform in a best possible manner. Before i used to see cricket game only untill the last ball. Now i stopped seeing cricket also unless they are performing well and approching towards win. Why should i waste my time over their carelessness.

Tamil people are silent acheivers. they dont trumpet their acheivements it is visible thru Kalam,Anand etc. All intellectual achievers were from tamilnadu
Tamils are the most receptive people in entire country

hi this is john from visakhapatnam i am very happy winup anand in chess game i am very interest in chess game ,any body can ply with me chess game plz keep on your mind my id is chebatini_john@yahoo.com
Dudes Anand is playing an individual sport and is not representing his country any where. But the others like hockey, criket football etc are playing a team sport where every one of them must perform to their poteitial and ability. While congratulating Anand for his personal success let us be with the team sports and encourage them even though they may fail occassionaly or regularly.

We need individual initiatives and excellence in the first place. We also need team players and leaders thereof.
There cannot be a water tight segregation.
As long as people are inspired through achievements individual or collective we all must enjoy praising or encouraging them.

what is this new distinction: a team plays for a nation and an individual plays for himself. You are slightly mistaken buddy. When an individual plays in a team-game for himself, we say, he is playing for himself and not the nation. think before writing.

Get your facts right !!! There will be always an Indian flag fluttering on the table when Anand place. Here is the url for the world championship, where you cann't miss the Indian flag next to Anand. http://www.chessmexico.com/es/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=22&Itemid=114 Moreov er BCCI claims to be a private body, Gill claims IHF to be personal fiefdom and less said about the so called sports association representing India the better !!

I think ur mistaken friend...he is playing for the our country only.....so pl appraise him also.
He is the only sportsman who is on no. one slaught for so many years...
Not a single sports is there where v r treated as no. 1.

Once again let me clarify dt...when Anand wins its called as Anand from India wins... n not from outer space....my beloved friend..u seems to be biased from Anand for ur personal reasons.
So stop blaming anand n his games...even if he is playing for himself he is making v indians proud.
Whether to appreciate anand or not is ur personal decision..so no more fights...but let me tell u one thing...anand is always better dn our faltu cricketers...who after winning one game runs after the advertisements like a dog chase food wd his toungue coming out of his mouth.
It sad that people in countries like Spain, Russia, Belgium knew Vishy better than the people from his home country India. They adore him and praise him for his calibre and success. I am not blaming us,But we can show atleast 5 % of interest shown in cricket to other sports, in which India is really dominating unlike cricket. Though am an ardent fan of team india, i have noticed one thing with indian cricket. All countries play with India to boost their morale and to create records, to help their batsmen regain their form . Its bitter but true,
