another scam....
by girish s on Sep 17, 2007 09:54 PM  | Hide replies

here is a perfect 'formula' for generating another scam! india doesnt need a f1 circuit at all. the priorities of our politicians are all warped, will someone drill some sense into our so called leaders.will we see another bout of agitation from farmers whose lands will be acquired? will we see half naked protesters asking for a place to house their families? protesters asking for water, food, education and medical facilities? when will this anarchy stop and when will a formula for basic rights be determined?

lands can be sorted easily, if only the politicians dont grab the land and money subsequently allotted to them. like in maharastra where pawar currently has usurped the 3000 crores meant for vidarbha farmers.

New Delhi will boast of an F1, Congress will hail the decision. F1 had closed in on Hyderabad. Two any development characters K Chandrasekhar Rao and Y Samuel Reddy (his true colours - anti Hindu Pro Muslim, Pro Christian)SOB's who in their lifetime never wanted to internationally potray as a State on the fast track of development. (Imagine esitmates of 20 5 star hotels, Logistics planning and execution for six months, And who knows outsourced Engineering of fast track cars and may more oppurtnities. Hyderabad as a tourist destination. Refer to Vision 20-20 of Mr. Naidu. 50 years of slavery of Congress Raj. A former Prime Minister does not get a prominent site for his cremation. Gults rise, awake and kcik these two SOB's on theri balls in hthe next election. Let me tell you 4 % reservation for Muslim, Increased nos. of pligrims to HAJ that is the formula for development. I hope ther is no better adjectives to describe these two politician's - SOB

After closing down the pursuit of F1 in the most suitable place according to your own admission stating social grounds what the hell has the Govt. followed - Reservations for Muslims, pleading with Centre for increase in HAJ subsidy and more Pilgrims. Have these jokers thought of any thing concrete Srikant that can bring more development and creating of oppurtunities for benefit of all in the State or only follow minority appeasement policy which does not encourage merits and competetive mindset. What is increase in outlay on education in the State over the last 3 years in proportion to revenue. My friend Srikant pls tell after wasting an oppurtunity on getting F1 to Hyderabad you feel my remarks on reservations have taken offence then so be it. Can you also provide stats on how many cubic cm. of water has flowed in the Rs. 45000 cr. projects that have been started and the benefits to irrigation in the state. You and I know why the flyover under construction collapse at Panjagutta. Rampant corruption and Muslim appeasement only two policies of GoAP

Let me also remind you that ISB is Hyderabad and not in Maharashtra due to some smart thinking and we have to bear the anti Hindu mindset and see IIT at Medak for Congress land grabbers benfit and not at Basar. The GoAP issues an order to ensure that there is no power cut during Ramzan in Old City. Why no Ganesh festival or Daseera is not taken into account and we find similar orders to AP Transco. What happened to Volkswagon project for Andhra and the enormous oppurtunity loss. With such mindset forget about any project that will turn International Project coming to Hyderabad or Andhra Pradesh.

Kalmadi will have a great excuse for all the delayed projects for the 2010 Commonwealth Games. He can blame it on preparations for Formula One.

I am sure that fertile land will be usurped by the govt / promoters for creating this rich man's sport facilities - and once the GP is over, the fcaility will be used by some event mgmt companies to promote other activities - Govt can encourage other Indian sports like Mallakhambh, Kabaddi, Chess, Archery etc

People like you are a joke who cannot differentiate between investment & handouts. Ask a poor vegetable seller if the money he's carrying can be invested in feeding his family or for buying vegetables for next day sales. Formula 1 is huge tourism, engineering & advertisement business, some of which spills over to the economy benefitting all those poor too whom you cite. If you use this money to feed them, it would be a one-time meal.

manoj,
i somewhat agree with you on this, but.... isn't it our duty to ensure that the poor reaches to "basic needs level" before we, so called new age consumers move one level up in all the areas - from shopping malls to F1 thrills. Getting the priorities right is the real issue and not the investment advantage of F1.
History has proved time n again - whichever country has invested in the future has grown manifolds. Is F1 an option of growth, a priority- imagine 600 mn investment in infrastructure, education and health of the needy people - I am sure an improved socity will earn beter than "one time" meal from F1 advantage.
