well done coach

Team performed as a unit, rather than brilliance or group within the team.
coach should be credited for breaking the punjab dominance within the team.
young right wing back is a good find for the team, not able to recollect his name, surely he is a clean shaven Singh

Take your anti-punjab goggles off. You may be able see better. Do not ruin the great win by the Indian team by your biased sectarian prejudices. For your ignorant mindset, the team had following players from Punjab: Baljit Singh, Sardara Singh, Gurbaz Singh, Jaswinder singh, Rajpal Singh, and Prabhjot Singh.

Friend dont't get emotional, If you watched earlier games prior to coach Carvalho appointment, you would always see the punjab players passing the ball among themselfs or go individual brilliance and that was the reason of our downfall. i have praised this team because they played the game as a unit, obviously all the punjab players are included.

What next?

Congratulation to Indian Hockey team for winning Asia Cup.
Players deserve good incentives and praise but nothing substantial was heard.State governments annouce big prizes, plots and what not for cricketers.Dhoni,Sehwag and Kaif and many others were given lacs of rupees and plots by their respective state governments when they played some good cricket for India.
Where are state governments.Today all Indians must be knowing Sharukh Khan's 'CHAK DE Hockey Team but most of the Indians know very littel aboutpresent Hockey stars.
Media and Govt.needs to do some thing for hockey so that young boys are attracted towards this game where India was undisputed king of the game.Let good players and sport administrators handle hockey.Govt must make a rule so that no official can have more than two terms.Use talent of people like Mr. KPS Gill to solve problem of terrorism.Make him advisor in Home Ministry but do not let him spoil hockey for such a long time.Media should give some place to hockey player on their channel so that yougsters know about them and are attracted towards hockey.

The takeover of coach by Carvalho who himself a Centerhalf in his playing days were many teams playing against india during his times had a hard time to overcome him bcs he stood like a rock against the oppostion forwards and snatch the ball from them and he pass the ball to our forwards in such a way that opposite team hardly notices it. I wish the Team on sucess on winning Asia cup and as said by coach now they have to achieve to qualify for Olympic and attain the olympic medal. I wish that IHF dont change the coach in near future bcs this coach has brought change in players and he should be there till Olympics, as i can see a complete change in Hockey Team now lets say "Chak De India" wishing all best to perform more to achieve the Olympic medal

IHF should be run by some competent people from the Hockey fraternity or former olympians who has depth knowledge of modern hockey.

Gill and Jyothi should go !!!
