Is this how you want to portray an athlete who made us proud? No wonder our country is lagging behind all the small countries in the athletics arena.

Please bring the focal points of her attempting suicide rather roughly handling her reputation.

She made India proud from her hard labour and effort and that to coming from the women community.

Why I wrote categorically women community you know it well ....

Please be careful about your message to world on reputed persons.

Shame on Rediff, Indian media, and Indian Govt
by Prashanth Reddy on Sep 06, 2007 12:33 AM  | Hide replies

Rediff,

You need to be ashamed of yourself for using the term 'tainted'. Its a black day for Indian sports ministry and Govt and media. Have you guys decided that people like Sahnti have no place on earth?!!?? Are we in a civilized world!!?? Everyone on this earth has a place. We can't judge God's creation. How insensitive is Indian Govt to strip her off from her job. Rediff (or any media for that matter), you should be educating the masses.

How can rediff use such a foul language against a person who won the rare medal and who is under tremendous pressure? It is time we all stood by her side rather use language against her.
