India national players should not play for clubs but for the country
by bhushan hegde on Oct 12, 2007 12:28 AM

hougton is right... if the national team players were not involved with their club matches between nehru cup & the lebanon match.. then we might hv had a chance of a win.
hope some corporate like mittal or reliance pays the national players a good salary to avoid playing club football & play more internationals & thus raise our ranking in world football

Who all in AIFF??
by on Oct 09, 2007 06:56 PM

Has any office bearer in All India Football Federation played football?? They are all interested in making money. Hence the state of Indian football is like this. A vast country cannot produce 11 strong footballers. Its a shame.

Rediff needs to Check their article once before publishing

Till I read the comments section, I did not understand Rediff is mentioning our loss in the Soccer qualifying match. You cannot expect everyone to have pre-news information about the soccer world cup being held in South Africa in 2010 and then what ever you write here is related to Soccer World Cup...Atleast once in the whole article there is no single mention "foot ball" or "Soccer"

Dont leave the audience confused guys... scale up your quality...

rightly said leelu.and even if u didn't see football on the top you must know that India were to play Lebanon in WC qualifier.and above all,u must knw that sunil chhetri is indian football player.people like u with least knowledge abt indian football shouldn't read these articles.u better go and watch the cricketers lose to australia and still continue to sing the song of their 20-20 glory.indian football team is improving and they showed lots of guts in this match.waiting for the return leg.hope u thrash lebanon by even bigger margin. best of luck indian soccer team.hope to see you in the WC in 2010.
