Alonso - An unworthy double world champion
by A. Master on Oct 06, 2007 04:09 PM  | Hide replies

After following the entire season without missing a race, reading the various articles written on F1 websites and hearing driver interviews to various TV channels abroad, I can only conclude that Fernando Alonso is an unworthy world champion. He is the sports biggest cry-baby. His behaviour on and off the track is totally unprofessional. To the extent of him betraying his team during the Stepneygate saga. McLaren are an absolute professional outfit and Alonso could not accept that. His comments on and off the track are distasteful. They reek of childishness and insecurity. He totally underestimated the potential strengths of his team-mate and when he found he was trailing in points, he made nasty comments, the latest being "The drivers championship has been decided off the track". He is a poor loser and should go on a sabbatical. Or better still, quit F1.

Mclaren....professional ?? no way, there's a long way to go for that ??? first when Alonso questions Hamilton's driving, one should remember the event involving him with Masa some races back when he virtual had a wheel-2-wheel banging episode when he was at fault....

It just proves one thing, Alonso is absolutely an unworthy champion. Remember last year's couple of races when he said "it has been decided at a round table to hand over the F1 championship to Micheal Schaumacher". Just proves that he cannot accept defeat and being beaten fair & square by a better driver.

Or was it something else ?? last time alonso said this he won the championship !! so he thinks cribbing is a good omen for him !!!

Alonso is really a sissy..........please don;t compare him with the great Schumacher. And Hamilton too will become a great champion in the years to come besides pocketing this year's title too.

Without doubt, Alonso is not a worthy champion and it is time that we saw a new one.

ha ha ha , Mclaren Professional!!!!Wow u mite be the only one to say that apart from mclaren team....anyways No team is professional on the circuit and everyone does bit of illegal activities to influence a particular race....
Having said that Ferrari is professional in concealing the facts from F1 body and people, which Mclaren failed. Also mclaren have a poor team spirit which led to the leak of report and email (main evidence in Spy-row). As regard Alonso I cant term him professional simply for threatening & Blackmailing Mclaren Chief prior to spy row.....It is sure Mclaren won't have Alonso next year. With KR and FM contracts till next year dont think Ferrari taking him as well...so may be he will go back to Renault and keep crying from there

It is likely that Alonso may have to sit on bench next year

Alonso's allegation
by sakthi vel on Oct 06, 2007 04:06 PM

perhaphs Alonso may be right in what he says, because he has already won twice!Alonso loses his his temper whenever he is not performing. The irony is he does not blame himself and he is blaming others , when things go out of his control. He shoud think of his previous seaon when Schumacher met with a mechanical problem at the end and Alonso emerged as a champ. Such irresponsible comments may end his career i F1

Alonso is so unsporting, he is Hamilton's senior and should be applauding his unbelievable 1st season, instead he is claiming foul play. What a shame.

yea pal. just have a look at the video on youtube. shocking why alonso faced a heavy penalty over his pitstop episode and hamilton got scot free for inducing a crash! sporting does not mean you start supporting a guy just because he is a black and a rookie. the best guy should win.

but if you see the video, you will think otherwise. f1 has been mired with controversy, although the rookie is good, he's been given an advantage by the mclaren boss, later sicne mclaren was punished harshly, and sicne bernie is from britain hamilton might have a blessing from the mgt.

I completely agree with Alsonso...the way hamilton was driving in the watery lanes of the Fuji track,he certainly should have been atleast reprimanded...But Alsonso's reaction to the same shows how unsporting he is. He is just not accepting the fact that some other driver is becoming the World Champion..He should move to Renault as i think Briatore will handle him well as he had done for 2 years.

Agreed, Alonso is a bad loser.

He is the only person who stands to benefit if Hamilton was penalised. That is why he is so outspoken about this issue, while the drivers actually involved in the crash may not be that bothered.

Why doesnt he speak why McLaren drivers were let off when it was proved that Alonso was also quite informed about the Ferrai issue from the start.
