Roger fedrer has prooved that he is the best as of date.His clay game takes him above Pete a player whom I too am an ardent fan off.But I feel there is no one better than Roger in the history of the game.Few records he has to over take which I think with a little bit of luck he will.

He is undoubtedly the all time best on any surface other than Clay. Clay is one surface which demands the maximum power and stamina. Unfortunately Federer is a bit short in the former, especially when it comes to backhand shots which he needs to really work hard on. Else winning the major clay court event like French Open might just remain an unachieved dream for him..
After he lost two consecutive matches to Nalby in Master series and first one here to gonzy most of the people including me thought Fedex was slowly losing his grip on top.He was under pressure to qualify for semis,which he did after beating Davydenko and Roddick.His performance against Rafa was mindblowing,his serve in that match brought memories of Sampras,Rafa looked disgusted and the doublt faulted in the second set to give second break,was e.g. of how ruthless Fedex can be if he wants to.It is his most convincing victory against the no.2. In final he did not have to be that good but played solid tennis to tharsh Ferrer.Fedex has ended the year the way he has started(Aussie open without dropping a set).His last three matches (Roddick,Rafa,Ferrer) is a reminder that Fedex is still the boss.
Had my bet on Fed...So damn happy! But it was a great match. Ferrer kept the match very interesting indeed, by exhibiting some marvellous shots even after down by 2 sets. Some fighting spirit thr...unlike Fed-Raf semis. One Fantastic match this one!

Me too Pete Sampras fan and Roger Federer seems to very close to him and one of best in tennis histroy! Truly a conistent player and anyone can safely bet on this lad!

Though I hate to admit it.. since I'm myself a big-big fan of Pete.. but Fedex seems to be raising his level every moment. He is bound to be the greatest of all time if the Nadal, Njokoviks, et al can't stop his tirade.. even greater than Sampras.

Hi Siba , do u know the record of Sampras against federer ...ve u seen that sngle match...Sampras is no way near to Federer...is there any record left for Federer..how good was Sampras in clay ?? see, i'm following tennis for last 25 yrs., i ve seen many players...but FEDERER is theking....

True. When he plays, the game of tennis looks so simple and opponents look helpless. The only thing wherein he can improve a bit is his on and off field behavior. Pete was more composed and content in that way.
