Federer is losing..... his winning run... if i am not wrong, it all started from 2002, He was the king of tennis court, any surface, it was Federer magic. As fan him i wish to see him with a French open title and a Olympic gold.. My warm wishes
all these wins jus show that other players r comin upto his level..its a near end to his era...agreed that he is a great,but this season surely has shown dat fedex is not unbeatable...he has never had 9 losses a year since making no.1 spot...n not only has he lost 2 some top players..but also lost to not-much-known players like fillipo volandri,canas... n of course its exciting that u dont get to see on rediff"fedex extends win streak" news..i dont think he vil win wimbledon next year,forget french...nadals edgin closer even on grass now....but for now,watch out certainly for a new masters cup champ(maybe rafa or gonzal)

I look at it the other way..until now Fedrer was in a class of his own..now may be he is not in the top form or may be others are getting into their act and finding ways to beat him..either way for me this is Fedrer's test..I was infact waiting for this to happen..I always believed Fedrer is not being pushed enough..he wins without even playing his best..now he has to play his best to win more times than before..I am going to watch how great this man really his..my heart says..watch out..he is just about to explode some of the most incredible tennis..my mind says hmm this is getting intresting..neways lets wait and watch

Well said.He was winnning a bit little too easily all these yrs.Now he is being pushed hard by other players.This is real test for him now to qualify to semis and win the tournament.Lets see if he can deliver.

I can't agree with you more. I am a Sampras fan at heart although my mind rules in favour of Federer for what he has achieved in the last four years. He realizes that he is being pushed, whether he can hold his composure like true champions of the class of Pete, Andre & Becker, we will have to wait and see. In any case, we are assured of some good tennis in the next year's slams. There will be four champions for sure in 2008.
Guess its abt time Rogy does some rethinking of his ways of play. He's increasingly reducing the surprise element related to his losses...I am afraid his fans may jus get used to this kinda result!
But Gonzalez was toooooo good! No bases here...he simply outdid Rogy!

Fernando Gonzalez was simply awesome...he outplayed federer in all departments... federer is loosing his class... he may not win all those grand slams in 08!
Rediff sincere suggestion. Pls. use nice and appropriate title, this title seems that federer, has been shocked by gonzalez using electric current. I have seen similar inappropriate title in earlier article that sharukh beats Tom cruise as if Literally punching on his nose.
