I think what rediff is doing here is not create a false hype for Sania, all they are doing is praising her for her recent achievement. It is a shame that some people are such pessimistic. So what if she crashes out of French open after playing the next game? Does that undermine the fact that she won her first game? Why can't we just be proud of the fact that there is a fellow indian who is trying to do her best for her country by competing in those games. But I guess my words are falling upon deaf ears. I forgot that I was talking to a crowd which has even critisized Sachin Tendulkar by saying that is worthless as a cricket player. Sania Mirza has not achieved even 1/10th of what Sachin has.
Being critical and looking at things from an unbiased and rationale perspective is good, but sometimes we overdo it leading ourselves to mental state where it becomes difficult for us to appreciate others and derive happiness from their success. We should all try not to become such beings.

Sania storms into 2nd round of French Open
by Ahmad Rais Siddiqi on May 31, 2007 02:47 PM

I had already predidcted on rediffmail forum when many people criticised her on her first round defeat in Morocco and Istanbul events that she will improve soon after her six months injury lay-off.
But,she may not be able to exert her full potential in second round to beat her opponent becuase she still needs some more time to totally recover her from her six weeks rest.
Anyway,it is itself a big thing that she has entered the 2nd round of this event for the very first time.Congts.Sania Mirza.
Keep it up Sania. But don't bother about the indecent comments of "BAD MAN",here?

Do u guys have any thing else to say other than religion. Maybe because you are brought up that way. Uncivilised and uneducated. When will India get rid of such people and become a progressive country. These people only know how to make issues out of every single news.
all please grow up and be broad-minded and modern rather than be a frog in the well.
