Thats some consolation for Sania. The girl can get over the humilating loss in the singles 1st rd.She needs to be more agressive and consistence if she wants to climb the ranking. Many other young players have cracked the top ten fishing

i think she is very aggressive , but she needs to correct her serve. her first serve percentage is very poor.

as soon as someone makes remarks about a sportsperson acting in ads, many kids are so happy to play the jealousy card. no one is saying that she is shooting ads 30 days or 60 days. in spite of obvious talent, some people just get overawed by the big occasion or by the fame and money. these ads bring in more money than from the game itself and there is always this risk of getting carried away. also the media spotlight and hype may take its toll too. in the past it has happened to cricketers like Laxman Sivarama Krishnan. thats the main reason why BBCI introduced this '3 ads' clause, which i think is impractical.

All the big European football clubs, when they spot a young talent, just take him away from media spotlight train him and develop his technical, physical and mental strength until he is ready for the big time. given below is such a case

Manu are chasing this player. just look at the hype surrounding this boy. Barcelona and Messi is a similar example.

Sania has the complete freedom to act in whatever ads she wants but she needs to keep a cool head, a thing she could learn from the Great Tendulkar. No wonder he is Sania's idol. We all hope that such an excellent talent is not wasted

Hi Sania,
If you recollect my earlier message when you were supposed to return to active tennis after injury,i had suggested you stic to Doubles as you have only 50% of court coverage and there are high chances you win doubles title because of your partner..i guess its is coming true after your 1st round exit (its not actually a shock exit as described by media actually it is a fact that you are a better doubles player than singles)you have reached the finals of morocon open with Vania.I think you need to thank Vania rather than giving long press lectures of whether being dry or humid,i guess its the same for all the players..you need to be a strong mental player which we generally lack.Any way i wish you good luck for the finals(Doubles).

Rediff is too lineant
by Dammy on May 19, 2007 03:23 PM

Rediff is allowing all kind of comments to be first aired without censoring!
Such crude comments which initiate fight between hindus & muslims, north & south, etc., etc., are very barbaric... those messages like that of Muneer Abidi cannot be published publicly. Infact these guys are those who are destroying Indian Integrity than the terrorists.
Rediff should be very strong that immediately after such messages are published, the writer of such messages should be identified & arrested.

As per the request of Muneer Abidi, Sania has not played the semifinals of morocco open. Are you satisfied.
