CONGRATS MAN UNITED for taking EPL title after 4 long years. They truly deserve it. They have worked hard for it & shown Chelsea that money cannot alone buy success.
its great to be back as champions of the league which fans love most.its hard luck for manU they should have been UEFA champs too but they miss key players in the second leg vs ac milan.but they will be back

Dude the same applies to the ever idoitic and boring EPL which has so many followers just because they get the max. coverage over and above much better leagues like la liga and serie A. Point to be noted is that EPL feeds off mioney made from mad asian fans ( We are as mad as the europeans on football except that we are large in numbers so able to affect the league more than others). to prove my point just ask yourself how many times has ae english club won the euorpean league. I can think of liverpool -5, manu -2 everyone else -0.I might be a bit off but 7 wins in a 70 year history doesent say much bout english football. But thats life, so learn to live with it - a true football buff
All the Season Chelsea were without their most of the good players...Manchesters Win was Chelseas bad luck and injuries factor...ANd yeah Big One man show factor-RONALDO as a team their game was poor..Ronaldo created 70% of the total goals they scored this season...And offcourse as SAM says look out for thrashing that MANU will get this wednesday I hope all MANU fans remember last years final league match between MANU and chelsea, MANU were thrashed 3-0 by chelsea!!!
It's so sad tht whn a team who has scored 82 goals playin free flowin,entertainin footbal is questioned by the loser & the latter's fans!!Let's face it - football is a lot abt entertainment - and Man U were way way ahead on that count. Of course, besides entertaining, they also very convincingly won the league!!!!Chelsea were more about the squabbles b/w mourinhio and abramovich!!!
Well!!!... both were good teams the entire season. During the end ManU took the advantage and sealed it. Chelsea after having signed so many stars failed to do well!!!, its the team that succeeds, not individual brilliances. Else the team Chelsea will end up like the nedherlands national team!!
It is actually kinda wierd to see Indians crazy about and even actually fighting with each other about these foreign soccer clubs and about those players, most of who, I am sure cannot even locate India on a world map. All this because we don't have anything else other than cricket and our cricketing morons lose again and again and again. So true sport lovers who are reduced to orphans, get more pissed off seeing those jokers again in all kinds of ads, are forced to turn to other nations's leagues.
USA has 3 important national-level tournaments (American football, basketball, Baseball) that are played in different seasons so that the people all over their country can cheer for their state and get indulged in sports all over the year. They even have tennis and NHL.
The point I am going to make is, similar to Chelsea's boss, why does not our big shots take up initiative and uplift some the the non-cricket games in India and start organizing quality tournaments and leagues. Why are the Ambanis, Tatas, Birlas, Azims, Mittals and Mallyas not recognizing the potential that lies here, not only can they make big money but they can give us fellow Indians who really are mad about sports something our own to cheer about? I'd rather see some phirangi guys sitting in some other part of the world argueing whether Madhya Pradesh United is better or Bangalore city.....

Nice dreams.. But dont call these comment-writers by bad names. I get happy when somebody comments on a non-cricket game in India. even after the WC cricket debacle, people were proliferously commenting on cricket columns.. May be the shifts to football and other games is natural outcome of lack of interest in cricket - which is good news - shift in focus. Let us play some more well known games rather than cricket played by just around 10 nations at the international level, consuming a whole day with minimal action and more action replays and dirty advertisements

Well its silly people like you here in india.... are talking abt promotion of other games. Well how can the government provide adequate funds and uplift the other sports, when people yourself doesnt know the games and to support them,,,, hahahaha. its all fun listening to you guys.
Cricket is one game where they play as Indian Team in other games... see sania mirza, people were like sania sania... everytime. what happend... now shes earned good houses in hyderabad, good money and enjoying the fortune. thats what they do. then when the match comes they loose interest and they dont fight. But Indian cricket team is not that... they are real sportsman... i agree with the advertising controversies and non performance in world cup. that doesnt mean we should critize them like that. we lifeted them and now we cant even blame them... but one thing is for sure they will fight back.
Coming to the topic again, first the people of the country should support the sports, players and then the sponsors should come forward to sponsor the event. its a mixed bag and everything got to be taken together... lets see what happens.
