our cricket crazy country should think of other games also like football. India is pathetic in football but if we make a good start with youngsters at the age group of 10 - 13 years age and we can give them quality exposure, we can rise in the game. The potential areas are Kerala, Punjab, Manipur, Mizoram, Goa. We need more academies like Tata Football Academy.
Now that Indian cricket has given enough agony to its fans (almost 100 crore)... Indians should now wake up to adore and support different sports. Indian Football has shown improvement in this game, and this needs some support. Moreover people after football will save a lot of time. Indian Hockey has a new coach...So we should look forward to that game as well...
Well done India. I saw this match and noticed Indian team's significant improvement in its performance. Its the begining of the FOOTBALL ERA in India. After all this game is not like the cricket "lag gya toe tir, nahin toe tukka".
Indian football theam that can't run in the field for 90min. The last time I watched the India match was between India and Japan. Japan beat India by 6 goal. In the second half the India team was so tired that they just kickking the ball hapazardly. It should he manadatory for each football player to run atleast Half marathon(23Km). Let them participate in the Mumbai marathon as a start.

Why are you so shocked. In the country off one Billion 99% people are behind cricket. If a player want to make profession in football, how he is going to support his family. There is not much money in football in India. At last he has to quit his play and do some job.

well said my boy Indian Govt should spent more money on the other games like football, tennis, hockey and so on. chuma spenting so much money on cricket.

Its time to increase the infrastructure in sports. Govt official wake us before it is too late.
