i would think Zinadine Zidane should be definitely in the list(in place of Beckham). If you have NBA and NFL stars than what about Americas favorite pasttime(Baseball)-so Babe Ruth should be there. Gary Kasprov is another name which I think should be included.About the order I think Mohammed Ali is surely the greatest sportsman of all time. BBC gave Mohammed Ali the greatest sportman of the previous century I definitely agree with them.

So much to learn from him

Federer is one of the rare gems of Tennis with Laver, Krishnans,Borgs,Connors, Mcnroes, Beckers, Lendls, Edbergs,Sampras etc,who have taken the game to such great heights with their extraordinary talents, unflinching dedication, unwavering perseverance to the game and above all their high degree of humility which have given them the level they proudly occupy for so long. What's great about them is not that they win so many matches and prize money, but that they make others raise their games, in turn rewarding us (the spectators) with the highest quality of tennis. [/trite]

Well said R B. We have seen Agassi, Ivanisevic, Rafter, Krajicek and others raise their game while playing against the great champ Pete and now we see Fedex absolutely demolishing other players..

Well said, Ganesh. These are the best two ever in the reverse order. I consider myself lucky to be born during their era.
They make their rackets do the talking unlike some others like Roddick, Hewitt to name a few.

Safin is another guy I feel wasted due to his tempermental issues. Otherwise, he could have given Fed Ex a run for his money.
