I really dont understand the lobby happening in IHF & IHC along with less qualified players coming into India team leaving out upcoming and performing player like Raghunath who has proved his worth in every tournament he played. In asian games he was secound top scoror for the tournament. Does any country leave PERFORMING PLAYERS BUT INDIA DOES . If India looses today its mainly because they could not convert Penalty corners. 12 in a international level matches should atleast covert 4 ok Indian team so atleast 2 of them. But Sandeep Singh being adragflicker should have converted atleast 3 out of 6 he took. His game has lost is pace. he does not move at all in the field. why is he in team again. Is it is because of GILL or any lobby happening between them. wrong selection of players for respective tournaments like this will spoil national game in India. We have palyers like Raghumath to be grommed still with international matches but not putting them down and dropping them. Please awake or else we will never qualify for olympics.
Young ones just learn to convert penalty corners and we can defeat Argentina 13-1. If we have good converters we can beat Australia too. India still plays good hockey they still dont score goals thats what matters. So guys just practice penalty conversion. others will earn one you encash it. Thats all we need to win. Guys come on any hockey player listening
This loss is not because India didnt play well on the field. It is because they are two generations behind other teams when it comes to converting penalty corners. Why is Sandeep Singh not playing more so that he could have taken eleven penalty corners by himself instead of dilip tirkey? If he is not so good then why not play raghunath then. I think a youngster like sandeep or raghunath need to play to become better players. What is the Penalty corner coach Mohinder singh doing coming up with direct hits. Teams like NZ and Argentina are two generations ahead in penalty corner conversions. This is one area where we need to improve.
Sania's losing in the second round, Hockey team losing the most crucial match in a tournament, and cricket team losing overseas matches, has become a standard. If you want to make some money bet on this, and you will win everytime.

Arun Nair, R u the same Mr. Manoj Nair ?,who has been posting negative comments only on this forum since long and claims to ne an international level player of some Un known game? If u r not Manoj, than i again say that don't be negative about the India sports. Have a big heart and be sporting enough to face the defeats also. How can every team, player can win every time. One has to loose and the other to win. But no doubt, these three,Sania,Hockey and Cricket all have performed below our expectations.I had watched all these three matches and so I can say that they all need some more efforts. So pl speak good for them so that they can improve further. No I am Manoj Nair...I am just stating the obvious. Its become the routine, so theres no point in supporting these teams when we know the outcome before hand.
Not surprised at all by India's loss. I've forgotten when we won 3 matches in a row in a proper tournament. Must have been in the 70s!We deserve to lose because we refuse to learn anything from past losses.PC attempts are a joke, defending is a joke, selections are a joke, coach is a joke (12 PCs today & ZERO conversions! No strategy, plays his favourites). IHF or IHC are a bunch of complete idiots who don't care at all about our national game. The quality of our players is embarrassing. How did we get to this state of affairs? Well done to all concerned...keep on getting worse with time. I can't see us qualifying for the Beijing Olympics.
